FA Cup soccer pick today: Reading vs Manchester United – Under 3.5 goals (-140), 3:00 pm ET

Losing road games is a habit Reading is finding hard to break. The Royals, who play in the second tier of English soccer, the Championship, head for Old Trafford for this afternoon’s FA Cup game having lost 7  of their last 9 road trips in the league.

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag should make plenty of changes to his lineup having played a strong team in the 3-0 Carabao Cup semifinal first-leg win at Nottingham Forest on Wednesday. The Red Devils have won 10 in a row at home, where they haven’t lost since September 8th, but a reshuffled team should offer Reading a chance to escape without taking a heavy loss, making under 3.5 goals in the game worth a play.

College Basketball pick today: Baylor Bears -6.5 over Arkansas Razorbacks (-110), 4:00 pm ET

The Arkansas Razorbacks make the short trip down to central Texas to face the Baylor Bears tonight. Baylor is one of the top offensive teams in the country, and they are led by a bevy of great guards. Their defense has been their problem all season, especially when it comes to defending the outside shot and keeping teams off the glass. That defense has gotten progressively better as the season has gone on, however, and that makes the numbers a bit misleading. Arkansas, on the other hand, is a defensive-minded team. They need to lock up their opponents to have a chance, and their offense has been sub-par, especially from beyond the arc. For that reason, backing the Bears will be the play.

NHL pick today: Ottawa Senators 3-Way ML over Montreal Canadiens (-140), 7:07 pm ET

Two Atlantic division opponents meet tonight as the Montréal Canadiens take on the Ottawa Senators. The Senators may be on a back-to-back in this game, but I still see them coming out on top. They have home ice advantage, and their game the previous night was a very short road trip to Toronto. That game resulted in a massive 6-2 victory, which is a huge morale boost. This energetic team shouldn’t be fatigued for this one after such a huge game, so with a much better roster they should come out on top. This roster is comprised of higher talent and greater depth with a mix of veteran presence compared to Montreal. For that reason, backing the Senators to win in regulation will be the play.

NBA pick today: Detroit Pistons -4 over Houston Rockets (-110), 7:10 pm ET

With just 1 win so far in 2023, Houston is arguably playing the worst basketball in the entire NBA, even worse than tonight’s opponent the Pistons who are dead last in the Eastern Conference.

Detroit’s form has also been dreadful, but they at least have 2 wins over their last 11 games overall and are 3-10 SU in their last 13 vs Western Conference opponents.

Despite just 1 win in 16 games, the Rockets are only 4-point underdogs here, which is a bit puzzling. Detroit has covered in 8 of the last 10 meetings head-to-head, and they are also 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games played on a Saturday. Go with the home team here.
