MLB pick today: Washington Nationals +1.5 over Miami Marlins (-118), 4:05 pm ET

It’s an NL East duel between the Marlins and Nationals this afternoon, and the pitching matchup won’t exactly make many headlines. Braxton Garrett gets the start for the Fish and Jake Irvin will get the nod for the Nats, and both starters have an ERA north of 4. Garrett has been the better starter this season with a 4.10 ERA and a 1.26 WHIP in 13 games (12 starts), and he’s coming off one of his best starts of the season.

With that being said, the Nationals smash lefties. Since May 1, Washington has a 114 wRC+ against left-handed pitchers which ranks in the top half of baseball during that time. With that being the case, backing the Nationals on the +1.5 run line will be our play.

MLB pick today: New York Mets ML over St. Louis Cardinals (-154), 4:10 pm ET

New York Mets’ starting pitcher, Kodai Senga has been on a roll recently. He posted a 2.79 ERA in May and started to find comfort in the pitcher-friendly park of Citi Field.

The St. Louis Cardinals will start Adam Wainwright, who has only made 7 starts this season and has a ERA of 5.79. Because he’s yet to show that he can limit an offense, backing the Mets’ money line will be our play.

MLS pick today: Nashville SC vs St. Louis City SC (-165), 8:30 pm ET

It has been a fantastic first half of the season for expansion team St. Louis City as they sit at the top of the MLS Western Conference. However, St. Louis could be worth fading on the road at Nashville tonight. Nashville has won 4 of its last 5 league assignments and climbed to 2nd in the Eastern Conference. For that reason, they will be our play tonight.

MLS pick today: San Jose Earthquakes ML over Portland Timbers (+105), 10:30 pm ET

San Jose Earthquakes have undergone a transformation in MLS this year and with 2 wins from their last 3 games, they look a solid selection to win against Portland Timbers, who have been wildly inconsistent over the last few weeks.
