College Football pick today: Ohio Bobcats ML over Toledo Rockets (+130), 12:00 pm ET
Ohio quarterback Kurtis Rourke is one of the best signal callers in the league, but he’ll be out for this one with a knee injury. Backup CJ Harris will get his second consecutive start and brings a much different playstyle to the table with his mobility. Toledo’s defense is stout against the pass, but they could not stop the run as they surrender over 150 yards per game on the ground.
Toledo ended the regular season on a 2-3 run including dropping the final 2 games of the year. They weren’t too impressive in those wins either, winning the 2 games by a combined 10 points. Ohio has posted 7 consecutive victories with 6 of those coming by double digits. They’re also 2-1 against the Rockets in their last 3 matchups. For that reason, backing the Bobcats to win will be the play.

NBA pick today: Sacramento Kings ML over Los Angeles Clippers (+105), 4:10 pm ET
The Clippers have a solid record in games against Western Conference teams, covering the spread in 8 of 12 games, but it will be much harder for them to keep up with the pace of the young Kings. Ivica Zubac has excelled lately, but he has to go up against the rebounding machine Domantas Sabonis, which could be a limiting factor. Even without knowing whether or not the Clippers will be at full strength, the Kings have a real chance to win this game. They’ve had a few minor bumps on the road lately, but over their last 11 games they have 8 really solid wins. For that reason, backing the Kings to win will be the play.

College basketball pick today: Marquette Golden Eagles -5 over Wisconsin Badgers (-115), 4:30 pm ET
The preseason expectations for Marquette were mixed, with many picking the Golden Eagles in the bottom third of the Big East. It turns out, though, that Shaka Smart has a really good team on his hands. There are plenty of signs that this team is better than they were expected to be, and they should have plenty of offense against Wisconsin. For that reason, backing the Golden Eagles will be the play.

NHL pick today: Edmonton Oilers 3-way ML over Montreal Canadiens (-150), 7:00 pm ET
This game may not be a landslide, but it should still be a smooth victory for the home team. Without Carey Price in net for the Habs, Connor McDavid and the boys should continue buzzing in terms of the power play. Their 27.6% is the 5th-best in the league, and Montreal has already committed over 100 penalties this season.
The Canadiens scored just 2 goals last time out, and were completely blanked at home the game prior in their 4-0 loss to the San Jose Sharks. They haven’t scored more than 3 goals in any of their last 5 games, therefore backing the Oilers to win this game comfortably will be the play.
