Although the NBA playoffs are taking center stage in the sports world right now (and our picks our going well over there, too), don’t forget that there is also a battle taking place on the ice for the Stanley Cup. The NHL playoffs are not quite down to the finals, but by the end of Thursday night there is a chance only four teams could remain. Meanwhile, the dog days of summer in Major League Baseball may not be the most intriguing but they continue to provide plenty of betting opportunities.
And at Pickswise, our plays in both hockey and baseball have been red hot of late.
Let’s start with the diamond. Over the last five days, we are 8-0 with our MLB best bets. That includes a 2-0 record this past Sunday and a 3-0 mark on Tuesday. That’s right; we had a trio of three-star plays on Tuesday and all three of them hit. Moving over to the ice, our best bets are 4-0 in the last four days. We twice hit on the Golden Knights to beat the Avalanche (including once as +125 road underdogs), correctly picked the Canadiens to finish off their sweep of the Jets, and last night we cashed the Over 5.5 at +120 in Game 6 of the Islanders vs. Bruins series.
Overall, dating back to last Friday we are 8-2 in our last 10 money line picks. Pickswise boasts a winning totals record over the past three days, as well (3-2).
We will try to keep the train rolling tonight with Game 6 of Vegas vs. Colorado.
