We close out the weekend with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers heading down to Dallas to take on the Cowboys. The Bucs currently sit atop the NFC South as the 3rd seed with a 8-6 record as the Falcons are still lurking with a new QB change that could turn things around. It goes without saying that this game is pivotal to the Bucs playoff hopes. On the Dallas side of this game, the Cowboys are 6-8 and 3rd in the NFC East. While they are mathematically still alive for the postseason, it’s a minuscule chance at this point. Veteran wideout Mike Evans sits at 749 yards with 3 games remaining to eclipse 1,000 yards and tie Jerry Rice all time with 11 1,000 yards receiving season. The total sits at 48, so we should get some points in this one. Let’s get into my best prop bet on the game.
Bucky Irving (TB) over 61.5 rushing yards (-110)
Line available on Bet365 sportsbook at the time of publishing.
Irving has cleared this number in the last four games he finished with no issues and although he was limited in practice this week, he’s expected to be a full go. The Oregon product has had the same or more carries than Rachaad White in 6 of the last 7 with the one miss being the game he left early. On paper, the Buccaneers have a massive advantage across the offense line over Dallas. According to PFF, the Cowboys rank 27th in opponent yards before contact while the Bucs rank 7th in yards before contact. This should have Irving fantasy owners salivating at his primetime matchup, especially when you consider Irving ranks 1st in yards after contact with 4.2 per rush. In the last 4 games that Irving was healthy, he finished with 117, 152, 88, and 73. This is a 1u play from me.
