We close out Week 16 on a rather low note with the New Orleans Saints heading to Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers (-14). For the Saints, the season is over and they’re getting an extended look at Spencer Rattler. For the Packers, they are almost locked into 1 of the last 2 Wild Card spots in the NFC. Green Bay is expected to get back CB Jaire Alexander after an extended absence, while the Saints will be without Alvin Kamara and Chris Olave. The total is set at 42 and it’s expected to be 24 degrees at kickoff with a chance of flurries. There will be 1-3 inches of snow during the day, but it should be cleared by kickoff. Let’s get into my best Saints vs Packers player prop bet for MNF, while you can also see our NFL picks for this game and every matchup throughout the season.

Spencer Rattler (NOL) over 18.5 rushing yards (-110)

Rattler gets the start again after Jake Haener botched his first (and possibly only) career start in Week 15. Rattler came in and went 10/21 for 135 yards and a touchdown in relief, which earned him the start on MNF. His 3 previous starts were underwhelming with a few glimpses of interesting quarterback play. Rattler hit this number with ease in 2/3 of his starts and given the conditions along with the spread, I can see Rattler having plenty of opportunities to pick up yards on the ground. The Packers are bottom 14 in quarterback rush attempts per game and their pressure rate is top 14 in the league, despite blitzing the 5th-fewest in the league; the point being that Rattler should be under pressure from just the front 4 Monday night and likely playing from behind will force him out of the pocket to pick up first downs. Despite only starting 3 games, he’s been sacked 14 times. 1u
