The surprisingly solid New Orleans Saints (+5.5) travel to Arrowhead Stadium to take on the Kansas City Chiefs, and we’re seeing a total of 43.5 for this contest. Second year WR Rashee Rice has moved to IR and joins RB Isiah Pacheco as key pieces for the Chiefs that have been sidelined. Kareem Hunt has returned to his former team in Kansas City and filled in well last week. Hunt returned to the Chiefs last week like he never left, to the tune of 14 carries and 69 yards on 45% of the snaps. He led all RBs in touches against a divisional rival in a close game: those are all big things to me when taking this over. Mahomes and Reid spoke highly of Hunt this week in how he performed . Mahomes specifically said,”I think he’ll get more and more comfortable as the year goes on and he’ll have a role in our offense”. It will be tough for Reid to justify playing the rookie Carson Steele in primetime after a fumble last week and Hunt being a better receiver out of the backfield. It allows them to disguise things better than if it were a Perine/Steele rotation. According to PFF, the Chiefs O-Line has a significant advantage over the Saints D-Line in terms of rushing attack. This is a 1 unit play from me.
