For Wild Card Weekend, I decided against an anytime touchdown article. There are fewer games and teams typically gameplan around their best players (as you should). The result of this are touchdown odds that lack the certain pizazz we hope for every week. So, instead of writing an article with a bunch of -120 and -150 TD scorers, I’ve put together my “Wild Card Weekend Parlay”. This will have all my ML leans and a TD scorer or alt-line player prop I feel very confident about. The odds are juicy, so tread lightly in your wager. I went with a $15 wager, but $5 and $10 are also very suitable. We’ve come close all season to some monsters, but playoffs are where the cream rises to the top. Best of luck and please gamble responsibly!

Christian McCaffrey ATTS / San Francisco 49ers ML (-105)

This one is self-explanatory. The 49ers are -9.5-point favorites at home in what appears will be a rainy playoff game. Kyle Shanahan will take as much pressure off his rookie QB in this situation and CMC was brought in this season to help them win when it matters most. These odds were +105 a few days ago and sharp money has hammered this down into the negative. However, at near even money, we lead off with what feels an easy W.

Austin Ekeler ATTS / Los Angeles Chargers ML (+165)

Mike Williams is officially out this weekend and Justin Herbert will rely heavily on both Keenan Allen and Austin Ekeler in the passing game. I almost went with Allen in this spot, but Ekeler will receive carries + receptions to get in the endzone against a Jacksonville defense ranked 24th in red zone opp scoring percentage. As far as the game is concerned, I give the defensive nod to Los Angeles who has really stepped up the last few games of the season. Offensively, I just trust Herbert more even though he’s never been in this spot. Go with the chalk on the TD and Chargers to win as road favorites.

Stefon Diggs ATTS / Buffalo Bills (+120)

The Bills moneyline requires no explanation as double-digit home favorites against the Miami Dolphins. They win outright. Diggs has scored 4 TDs in 10 postseason games – 3 of which with the Bills. Miami CB Xavien Howard has given up 6 TDs all season and has not bounced back the way many had hoped this season. The theme of this parlay is trusting big players in big games, Diggs is that guy.

Justin Jefferson ATTS / Minnesota Vikings (+220)

Many are pegging this as an upset this weekend, but I simply cannot see the Giants duplicating their Christmas Eve performance against Minnesota. The Vikings offensively will jump out to an early lead and Giants will struggle to play from behind. The biggest mismatch of the game is Justin Jefferson against this Giants secondary. They do return Adoree Jackson this weekend, but he’s not exactly a locked down cornerback. Jefferson lines up all over the field and should see double digit targets, including ones in the red zone. Six of his 8 TDs this season came at home. SKOL.

Tyler Boyd 50+ Receiving Yards / Cincinnati Bengals (+236)

This one I made on my own. The total of this game is set at 40.5 and I wanted to stay away from the Joe Mixon/Ja’Marr Chase dilemma entirely. The Bengals offense can take different forms, depending on the opponent, and I wanted steer clear of guessing wrong on the approach. However, Tyler Boyd has another weekend of dominating this Baltimore secondary from the slot. Boyd had 7 targets for 5 receptions 51 yards last week. I watched that game closely and there were several opportunities for him to exceed 80 yards, but the Bengals were more concerned with getting Hayden Hurst an incentive bonus to end the season. That will not play a factor Sunday night and Boyd should be in for another big game. Bengals should win easily.

Chris Godwin ATTS / Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+430)

And here is my upset of the weekend, tucked all the way at the end. Godwin has a fantastic matchup in the slot against the Cowboys so I contemplated going with an alt-line on yards, but settled on the score. Both teams defend the run very well and give up very few rushing TDs on the season. Godwin missed last years playoffs entirely, but he did score in the WC round of their Super Bowl run in 2020. Godwin scored 3x after Week 10 – 2 of which were at home. As far as the game, I expect Tristan Wirfs and Ryan Jensen to return Monday night and we’ll see this Buccaneers O-line the healthiest it’s been all season….and I’ll never bet against Tom Brady in the playoffs, just out of sheer principle.

So there you have it! Six games, 6 legs and a $15 wager pays out $9740. Feel free to round robin this or simply leave out whichever legs you disagree with. I’m going with chalk across the board except for Monday night. Please check each one of my individual game articles this weekend and best of luck.
