The Atlanta Falcons fly to Carolina to take on the Panthers (+3) in this AFC South primetime matchup. Atlanta will be missing OG Matt Hennessy, which means another combination of the Falcons offensive line. Starting CB AJ Terrell is questionable once again and has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury, but his return would be big for locking down DJ Moore. The Panthers should be getting back RB Chuba Hubbard Thursday, which could make for an interesting duo out of the backfield with the surging D’Onta Foreman. After starting 6-0 ATS, the Falcons have been 0-3 ATS, including Week 8 vs Carolina. I lean Carolina +3 in this matchup, but the player props are what we are here for.

Kyle Pitts over 37.5 receiving yards (-114)

Line available at FanDuel Sportsbook at the time of publishing.

There are several throws that Mariota is going to want back from last week against the Chargers, many were to Kyle Pitts. The 2nd year tight end finished with 27 yards and 2 receptions on a whopping 7 targets. Pitts has seen 5+ targets in 3 straight games and his best game of the season came against this Panthers team in Week 8 (9-80-1 TD). The Panthers, in general, have been susceptible to opposing TEs this season with Zach Ertz, George Kittle, and Cade Otton have all hit this line. Their 10.4 yards per reception to opposing TEs is 18th overall, but that number has jumped to 12.5 yards over the last 3 games. When kept clean, Mariota has a passer rating of 95.0, and luckily for him, the Panthers are 24th overall in pass rush, according to PFF. 1U.

Marcus Mariota over 162.5 passing yards (-114)

Line available at FanDuel Sportsbook at the time of publishing.

Similar to the Pitts analysis, Mariota has faired very well against teams that struggle to get pressure on the QB (95 passer rating when kept clean and 96.4 when not blitzed). Carolina is ranked 29th overall in sack percentage and have the 24th overall ranked pass rush. On the season, their 14 sacks are the 4th fewest. The Falcons QB has only hit this line in 4/9 games, but all 4 teams that he hit this have come against teams that rank in the bottom 18 in pass rush according to PFF. Carolina is allowing 34 passing attempts per game, which is a mark that Mariota has not hit once this season, but when he throws 25+ times, he’s hit this in 3/4 games. 1U.
