In their first game since firing head coach Michael Malone, the Denver Nuggets are in Sacramento hoping to end a 4-game losing streak. I’ve prepared a tasty +441 Same Game Parlay bet, hoping to build on my +1078 odds winner from Sunday. Get predictions on the side and total for the rest of Wednesday’s slate on our NBA Picks page, but for now let’s dive into my Nuggets vs Kings bet!

Domantas Sabonis to record a double-double (-360)

Zach LaVine 3+ Made threes (-154)

Aaron Gordon to Record 6+ Rebounds (+190)

Same Game Parlay odds: +441

Domantas Sabonis to record a double-double (-360)

One of the big reasons why the Kings have been able to turn things around and win their last 3 games has been the play of Domantas Sabonis. The double-double machine from Lithuania is averaging 19.2 points, 14.2 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game over his last 9 outings, he has failed to record a double-double just once during this stretch. Whenever he plays against Nikola Jokic he takes his game to a whole new level – his numbers are at 21.8 points, 14.2 rebounds and 6.9 assists in the last 9 meetings against the 3-time MVP, plus he’s recorded a double-double 8 times and even a triple-double once in those 9 games. Denver is currently in shambles after letting go of their head coach Michael Malone, it’ll be interesting to see what gameplan they come up with against Sabonis down low. One thing is clear though, regardless who they put on him I feel like Sabonis will deliver his standard 10 points and 10 rebounds, so let’s back him to continue his solid streak against Jokic here.

Zach LaVine 3+ made threes (-154)

Things have really opened up for LaVine and the Kings in general as far as three-point shooting goes. The team is knocking down 42.7% of attempts from downtown in wins over Charlotte, Cleveland and Detroit. The latter two are solid three-point defensive teams, which only highlights how good the Kings have shot the ball over this past week of play. LaVine has been at the forefront of the attack, he’s averaging 3.4 threes per game on 47.2% shooting in his last 10 games. That’s a decent enough sample size to warrant us backing him to have yet another solid scoring game here. He’s cleared this line in 3 straight games and in 4 of his last 5 outings. Over the last 2 wins over Detroit and Cleveland he’s combined for 80 points and 15 threes made, LaVine is dragging the entire franchise across the regular season finish line. He’s also had a lot of success against the Nuggets in head-to-head meetings averaging 25.1 points per game in the last 9 games. The three-ball is at a solid 35% efficiency, on 2.7 makes per game. He’s cleared this line in 6 of those games, with Murray unlikely to play here he should have a much easier time scoring the basketball.

Aaron Gordon to record 6+ rebounds (+190)

With the Nuggets wasting a 41 point, 15 rebound and 13 assist night in the loss to Indiana the other day, it’s quite clear that someone else other than Nikola Jokic will have to step up for this team to end this 4-game losing streak. I am looking at Aaron Gordon who has been somewhat conservative in his approach lately. In the loss to Indy he posted just 5 points and 3 total rebounds while taking only 5 field goal attempts. His confidence must have taken a hit, there is no way a player that had 30-8-5 just 3 games ago against Minnesota forgot how to play basketball. Gordon is more than capable of making an impact here, he’s averaging 5.1 rebounds per game in his last 10 outings. Against the Kings he’s at 6.3 boards per game in the last 10 meetings, while clearing this line 6 times. With Sabonis manning the middle the Kings have been a formidable force in the rebounding department, but they too have shown weakness over their last 3 games with opponents grabbing 12.3 offensive rebounds against them on average. I’m expecting a lot from Gordon in this game, let’s hope he becomes more assertive on the glass, because without that the Nuggets are in trouble here.
