NBA

Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. The Los Angeles Clippers delivered a major blow to the Denver Nuggets in Game 3 thanks to a dominant 34-point win. It has seen a lot of the media almost writing off the Nuggets chances in the series. However, things may not be as straightforward as they seem considering the championship experience of the visitors along with the reigning MVP in their ranks. You can follow their comeback attempt live on TNT today.

Take a look at all of our NBA previews. But for now check out my Nuggets vs Clippers Same Game Parlay below.

Nikola Jokic Over 26.5 points (-140)

Jamal Murray Over 5.5 assists (+100)

Norman Powell Over 2.5 made 3s (+115)

Same Game Parlay odds: +550

Nikola Jokic Over 26.5 points (-140)

After a loss in Game 3 of the series the Nuggets have their backs against the wall, and I expect Nikola Jokic to come out firing. He has been less aggressive looking for his own shot of late, with 30 combined attempts in the last 2 games as opposed to 24 in Game 1. Considering that was the game they won, do not be surprised to see him revert to that here. Jokic was also able to score at least 28 points in 2 of the 3 regular season games, including a 41-point performance. Ivica Zubac does have the size to make things difficult for him, but Jokic has shown he is more than capable of overcoming the challenge. So far the MVP is making 46.7% and should have the ability to stretch the floor and pull Zubac out to a territory where he can take the Croatian out of his comfort zone.

Jamal Murray Over 5.5 assists (+100)

The man that should be feeding Jokic the ball tonight will be Jamal Murray. He was able to hit the over on this line in the opening 2 games of the series but failed to do so in Game 3 in reduced minutes in a blowout loss. If this remains a tight game, he should be for over 40 minutes tonight. Much has been said about his pick and roll with Jokic and I think this is something that the Nuggets get back to tonight on the road. The Nuggets really struggled in Game 3 to score efficiently, as seen by their 26.9% shooting from beyond the arc. That is not a trend you would expect to continue. The Nuggets did finish the season 2nd in true shooting percentage in the regular season so look for his teammates to do a better job of converting the looks Murray creates here.

Norman Powell Over 2.5 made 3s (+115)

Norman Powell is coming into this game after hitting 3 of 8 of his shots from beyond the arc in Game 3. Both the makes and the attempts were new highs for him in this series. With Kawhi Leonard continuing to dominate, expect the Nuggets to key in on him more, forcing someone else to beat them. Powell is more than capable of punishing them for it. He is making 38.9% of his 3-point attempts in the series and 41.8% on the season, so his efficiency can still go up a gear. With Leonard so effective in the midrange and Zubac clogging up the paint, Powell should maintain his role as a floor spacer tonight. He should see somewhere around the mid 30’s in terms of minutes which should be more than enough time for him to knock down 3 3-point attempts.
