Milwaukee Bucks ML over Denver Nuggets (+126)
Certain analysts are quick to dismiss the Milwaukee Bucks here simply due to the dominance presented by the Denver Nuggets over their last 11 games or so. Granted, winning 10 of 11 overall and 10 of 13 on the road is impressive, but just like any other team in the NBA, the Nuggets have their flaws and this Bucks team is more than capable of taking advantage of them. For example, Denver ranks 5th-worst in opponent points per game inside the paint this season, allowing 50.1 per game. That’s music to the ears of one of the best slashers in the NBA, Giannis Antetokounmpo, who should dominate on the interior all night long here.
We all know how much the Nuggets love to share the ball, especially Nikola Jokic. They lead the NBA in assists per game as a team, averaging 31.3 per game. However, they are going up against a Bucks team that ranks 9th this season in opponent assists per game. Over their last 3 games, they’ve allowed just 22.7 per game, so getting to the 30s in that department might be a struggle for the Nuggets. Milwaukee has shown great resilience in home games this season, winning 20 of 29, and more recently they’ve been able to cover the spread in 9 of 11 games at Fiserv Forum. The last 2 meetings in this building have gone the Bucks’ way by 17 and 8 points, so I’m backing them to win again here to kickstart our Nuggets vs Bucks Same Game Parlay.

Damian Lillard to score 30+ points (+220)
Dame Lillard’s poor shooting performance was one of the main reasons why the Bucks are coming back home from Houston empty-handed, so I am looking at the veteran point guard to have a bounce-back performance here. The Nuggets are one of Lillard’s favorite opponents to play, as he’s averaging 32.6 points per game in the last 9 meetings with them. Most of those games came from the time when he was a member of the Portland Trail Blazers, but let’s not underestimate Dame’s scoring ability here. He has 1 game of 55 points and a pair of 40+ point outputs during that 9-game stretch, so scoring 30 should be within his grasp.
We all know that Jamal Murray isn’t the defender he used to be, after all the injuries he has suffered. If there’s one weakness to this solid Denver defense, it’s their lack of ability to stop teams from scoring the three-ball. Teams are making 36% of their shot attempts from distance against them this season, with that number going up 37.2% over their last 3 games. If Lillard gets going early, it could be a long night for the Nuggets.
