The time has come once again where college football fans all over the globe are ready to kick off another season – Welcome to the beginning of a new College Football campaign. On Saturday, September 7th the second week of college football picks will begin as Pickswise, the home of free College Football Picks dives into the winning picks of Northern Colorado Bears vs. Washington State Cougars.
Against the Spread Pick
Northern Colorado plays in the Big Sky conference, probably the best FCS league in America. That tells you something, but so does the fact that they lost by 17 to San Jose State, one of the worst FBS teams in America. They are going to be outmatched in this one and the most they can really hope for is to try and keep it respectable. That could be tough against a program that moves the ball at will against most. The Cougars had an easy game against New Mexico State to start the season, winning 58-7, covering in the process. They are working on a new QB this season. It was thought to be Gabe Gubrud, but Anthony Jordan beat him out and threw for more than 400 yards so it looks like that he might stick for a little while. The Cougars’ offense is prolific and should not meet much resistance this week either. No line posted yet but I would expect something around the low 40s. They can take care of that.
Over Under Pick
Washinton State’s opener did not go over the total of 65.5. Their defense was just too good I guess. That could be a problem here too so something to keep in mind. The Cougs only know one way to play though and that is to throw the ball around the field. If the Bears can’t stop it they could approach a total like that on their own. Leaning to the over.
