I've been a capper since my love for sports met my proficiency with numbers and math. The NFL and NCAAF have always been my first loves, followed by the NHL. Although I prefer sports that involve hitting people, I still love capping MLB, soccer, tennis, and even some esports. Living in Florida has its perks like year-round sports of any kind. While the regular season is in its final week, there is still plenty to be decided in terms of the playoffs. It’s rare for so much to still be up for grabs, but it means excitement all the way to the bitter end. Tonight marks back-to-back nights with 10 games on the board, so there is no shortage of action. With so much still on the line, that plays a major role when looking for the best and most valuable spots.

I have used that information to help us piece together tonight’s NHL mega parlay. Along with this parlay, be sure to check out all of our NHL picks for today’s action.

Tampa Bay Lightning -1.5 (+185) over Toronto Maple Leafs

Let’s get started with one of the first games of the night. This matchup is a preview of what we’ll get to see in the first round of the playoffs, as well. It was the first series to be determined with room to spare, and we have also known that it will be the Leafs who have the home-ice advantage. However, it will be the Lightning with that distinction tonight. Playing in Tampa Bay has been a huge benefit for them, as they are the highest-scoring team on home ice. While their playoff fate has already been determined, head coach Jon Cooper is not one to let the team take things lightly.

That’s especially true when facing the team they’re going to go head-to-head with in less than a week’s time. It’s also important to note that this is also a rematch of a playoff series from last season, which Tampa Bay won en route to their third straight Stanley Cup Finals appearance. Similarly, Tampa Bay had a game against Toronto at the very end of April last year as well. Per usual, Cooper took that game seriously and the Lightning stormed through the Leafs with an incredible 8-1 win. It’s clear their approach has proven to be successful, so I expect more of the same tonight.

Edmonton Oilers vs Colorado Avalanche – Over 7 (+100)

If you thought the Lightning vs Leafs matchup had a lot of skating talent on the ice, this game will seem absurd. Frankly, the season Connor McDavid has had is nothing short of amazing. He became the first skater to eclipse 150 points in a season since 1995-96 over the weekend. In total, there will be 5 skaters on the ice in this game with more than 100 points. Colorado’s Mikko Rantanen eclipsed that mark on Sunday night, while Nathan MacKinnon also finally recorded his 100-point season.

Let’s also not forget about Cale Makar, who would have even more incredible numbers if not for injury. Even without him, Colorado is the defending champion for a reason — and the Oilers downfall has always been their goaltending. Thankfully for them, they are still having a great season due to being the highest-scoring team in the NHL. It’s also important to recognize that both these teams are playing for a potential division title, so there will be no taking it easy during this last week of the season. Therefore, I expect the stars to shine and find the back of the net quite often.

Vancouver Canucks 3-way ML (+100) over Anaheim Ducks

There is one matchup I’m targeting that does not have an impact on the postseason. Neither the Canucks nor Ducks will be in the playoffs yet again, but Vancouver is still the clearly superior team. Anaheim gave it all it had against the Avs on Sunday night, but after still falling short I fully expect them to just coast through the last 2 games to enjoy the Southern California summer starting next week.

A lot can be said about the Canucks trading away former-captain Bo Horvat, but they still have some great skaters. Elias Pettersson eclipsing the 100-point mark is quite the milestone and Quinn Hughes is among the assist-leaders in the NHL. Those guys, along with JT Miller and Andrei Kuzmenko, should have great nights with the Ducks allowing the most goals per game throughout the entire year. Vancouver has defeated Anaheim in all 3 games this year, including 2 last month, and I anticipate them completing the season series sweep tonight.
