After a slower Monday night, we’ve got more than double the action tonight. There are 9 games on the board with some great matchups. Some of the top teams in the Eastern Conference face off and there’s a great Central Division clash in Nashville. One of our favorite plays features that contest, and we’ll also be breaking down 2 of the best teams in the NHL. We’ve pieced together our favorite plays into a parlay with mega odds to boost your bankroll for days to come. Before we dive in, be sure to check out our NHL picks for today’s action.

New Jersey Devils -1.5 (+145) over Montreal Canadiens

One of the biggest surprises of the first 5 weeks of the season has been the New Jersey Devils. They’ve been atop the Metro Division virtually all year, and are behind only the Boston Bruins for the best record in the entire Eastern Conference. After their multi-goal win on Saturday, they’re now on a 9-game winning streak. They’ll be taking that hot streak up to Montreal to take on the Canadiens tonight. Sitting at 8-6-1, they’ve actually performed above expectations as well. However, they’ve still proven to be inconsistent.

Prior to their current 3-game winning streak, they had lost 3 straight. The Devils’ new goaltender Vitek Vanecek has also been a nice boost for the team, as they’re allowing the 4th-fewest goals per game so far this season. Keep in mind that’s just 1 year removed from allowing the 4th-most. With Vanecek having been on the Washington Capitals last season, it’s worth looking at their matchups against Montreal. The Caps defeated them in all 3 meetings by at least 3 goals in each contest. Of course, the Devils are a different team, but they’re firing on all cylinders and have Vanecek behind them. Until a team proves they can slow them down, there’s no reason to doubt them tonight.

Minnesota Wild 3-way ML (+130) over Nashville Predators

The Wild are coming off of a tough home loss to a San Jose Sharks team that they certainly should have defeated. They blew a 2-0 lead and were forced into overtime, ultimately losing in a shootout. However, they have a solid opportunity to bounce back tonight. That may seem strange with them traveling to Nashville, but it’s worth doing some digging. Minnesota is a weird case of significantly increased statistics on the road. They have allowed the absolute most goals per game at home this season (4.29 per game). On the flip side, they’re the absolute best on the road, allowing just 1.75 goals per game.

Goaltender Marc Andre-Fleury has had his struggles to begin the year, but he seems to lock in outside of Minnesota. The Preds were able to win their most recent game, but they haven’t looked as crisp as expected. They still scored just 2 goals the last time they were on the ice, and are bringing up the rear of the Central Division. They’re behind even the Arizona Coyotes and ahead of only the St. Louis Blues, who were on an 8-game losing streak recently. It’s understandable that this game is priced so evenly, but the Wild can maintain their spot in the top half of the division tonight.

Vegas Golden Knights -1.5 (+100) over San Jose Sharks

This is the only home team we’re taking for our mega parlay, and is our most confident of the 3 plays. The Golden Knights have been an absolute wagon this season, and have been the class of the Western Conference. They’re sitting at an impressive 13-3-0. Their 9-game winning streak was just snapped on Saturday, so you can be sure they’ll be out to avenge that loss. They should be able to do so against a Sharks team that they’ve already faced this season. Vegas won that meeting by multiple goals, which was on the road in San Jose. Now they get to face off against Timo Meier and company in Sin City.

The Knights have lost just 1 home game this season, and that was a close 3-2 game against the defending Stanley Cup-champion Colorado Avalanche. The Sharks are far from that caliber, despite their shootout win on Sunday. After beginning the season 0-5-0, they’re in jeopardy of becoming just the 2nd team with 10 losses on the season. Knights goaltender Logan Thompson has been incredible in place of Robin Lehner, as the team has allowed the fewest goals per game. San Jose scored just twice at home when these teams met earlier in the year, and we don’t expect them to perform any better on the road.
