NHL Tuesday mega parlay (+792 odds): March of the Penguins

Sidney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins

Tuesday brings us a jam-packed slate of 11 NHL games. To spice things up, we are putting together a 3-leg mega parlay that is paying out just shy of 8/1 odds on FanDuel Sportsbook. Along with this parlay, don’t forget to check out our full game previews for each matchup on tonight’s schedule.

Now let’s get to it.

Penguins -1.5 (+152)

Sabres/Golden Knights under 6 (-104)

Senators/Islanders under 6 (-125)

Parlay odds: +792

Pittsburgh Penguins -1.5 (+152)

The Caps have taken their lumps in recent weeks, falling from 1st place in the Metro Division to now 4th, and have lost 6 out of their last 10 games. Part of the reason for the poor play has been the goaltending duo of Vitek Vanecek and Ilya Samsonov in addition to the injury of TJ Oshie. The Capitals will be looking forward to the All-Star break to rally together and get healthy, but first they will have an uphill battle with the Penguins. Pittsburgh should be ready to roll with a rival coming to town, and their captain Sidney Crosby is only 2 goals away from 500 in his career. Tristian Jarry also present a big advantage for the Penguins in net, no matter who the Caps push out there. Look for the Penguins to defend their home ice against their rival with a big win here.

Sabres/Golden Knights under 6 (-104)

Vegas plays a very physical and assertive style of defensive hockey. The offensive juggernaut Lightning and Capitals combined to score just 2 total goals in 125 minutes of action within the past week against this team. Considering how potent those 2 offenses are, that is a great accomplishment. Any play close to that level dominance will leave Buffalo with nothing to show for on the scoreboard. With the way the Vegas defense is playing right now, that is a strong possibility. Offensively, it could be tough for Vegas to carry the full workload of goals to bring this total over. They have great offensive talent, but aren’t known to run up the scoreboard, as they haven’t score more than 4 goals in a game in about a month. The under is the recommended play here.

Senators/Islanders under 6 (-125)

This is a matchup between 2 teams that are playing solid defense right now. The Senators have been playing some outstanding team defense lately, giving up just 8 total goals in their last 5 games. On the other side, the Islanders are also a solid defensive team — ranking 6th in the league in goals against per game (2.65). Furthermore, these are 2 teams that usually aren’t great on the offensive end. The Senators are 22nd in goals scored per game (2.77), while the Islanders are 30th (2.38). The game total has also stayed under 6 games in a row for the Senators, and in 8 of their last 10 overall. For the Islanders, the under is 7-1 in New York’s last 8 games as a home favorite. The under is the play.
