Tuesday’s 9-game NHL slate will provide you with a little bit of everything from low scores to high scores, potential upsets, playoff contender matchups, and inter-conference games. There is more than enough appealing action tonight to post up in front of a TV and win some bets. Among the action, the following picks stand out as good value played together as a 3-leg parlay. The following parlay has odds of +1220 with DraftKings Sportsbook. Let’s break it down.

Ottawa Senators +1.5 (+120)

Flames vs Wild Over 6.5 (+100)

Blue Jackets ML & Over 6.5 (+200)

Parlay odds +1220

Ottawa Senators +1.5 (+120) over Tampa Bay Lightning

It may not seem like Ottawa has much of a chance in this game. But the same could have been said for Ottawa facing Minnesota, Washington and Carolina. The Senators beat all of those teams in their last 10 games, being at least +190 on the money line in each of them. Add 1-goal losses to the Rangers and Bruins over that same 10-game stretch and the Senators are officially pesky.

Tampa is sub .500 against the spread (ATS) this year and Ottawa, perhaps surprisingly, is above .500 ATS. Home road splits look even better for Ottawa. Tampa is 10-15 ATS at home this year and Ottawa is 14-9 ATS on the road. Of Tampa’s 34 wins this season, 16 of them have been 1-goal games. Included in those 1-goal wins were Philadelphia, Montreal twice, Arizona, and this Ottawa team. Tampa doesn’t always bury bad opponents and Ottawa has not been getting blown away much.

Calgary Flames vs Minnesota Wild Over 6.5 (+100)

Overs are strong with these teams thanks to elite offensive production. Minnesota and Calgary are 3rd and 8th respectively in the NHL in goals scored per game this season. The Wild score an average of 4.43 goals per game at home this season and allow 3.10. That’s a Minnesota Wild average home game of 7.53 total goals.

Calgary on the other hand has averaged 4.5 goals per game over their last 10, and has scored at least 5 goals in 9 of their last 17 games. Overs have hit in 6 of Calgary’s last 8 overall and 9 of their last 12 on the road. Overs have also hit in 6 of Minnesota’s last 7. Flames game overs are 16-10-2 on the road this year and 17-4 for Minnesota at home this year even furthering strong over trends for these teams. This one has offense written all over it.

Columbus Blue Jackets ML over New Jersey Devils & Over 6.5 (+200)

Columbus has been decent at best this year but this is a favorable matchup for them. The Blue Jackets catch the Devils on the second game of a back-to-back. New Jersey is 2-6-2 in those games this year. The Devils have been the underdog in the majority of their games this year and have gone 10-26-3 in those games. A bit of a different story for Columbus as they are 10-1 as favorites this season, as they are in this matchup. Even recently, the Jackets are 7-3-0 in their last 10 to the Devils’ 4-6-0. This one looks good for Columbus.

Columbus has shown the ability to score in bunches which combined with their weak goal prevention is why their overs are 33-16-4 this season and 16-7-3 at home. New Jersey’s offense isn’t awful, but their goal prevention is. That is yet another recipe for high totals as reflected in their 30-20-3 over/under record this season overall and 17-8-1 on the road. In 3 head to head matchups this season between these teams, 2 of them have gone over 6.5 total goals. This one looks to be yet another one where offense outweighs defense and goaltending resulting in a high total.
