It has been a while, but we’re finally back with 3 NHL games on the board today. That means we’re also back with a NHL mega parlay! The 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs continue to deliver and today should be no different. The New Jersey Devils and Toronto Maple Leafs are now both down 2-0 and officially in desperation mode. The Dallas Stars were able to bounce back from a Game 1 loss to even up their series 1-1 before heading to Seattle. Those are our matchups for Sunday, so let’s dive into our NHL mega parlay.

Along with our NHL mega parlay, be sure to check out all of our NHL picks for the Stanley Cup Playoff action.

New Jersey Devils 3-way ML (+115) over Carolina Hurricanes

The Devils lost the first 2 games of their series against the Hurricanes. Not only were they losses, but they were also rather lopsided. That may make it surprising that we’re backing them in Game 3. However, you would then likely be surprised to see that they’re actually favored today. The series shifting to New Jersey certainly helps with that. To go along with that, the Devils are rather familiar with the situation. They escaped the first round despite losing the first 2 games against the New York Rangers.

In fact, those were beatdowns as well as they lost both 5-1. After a 5-1 and 6-1 loss to Carolina, they find themselves in a nearly identical scenario. Now back on home ice, the desperation should fully kick in and I expect a great effort from Jack Hughes and company. It continues to be worth noting that the ‘Canes will still be without Andrei Svechnikov and Teuvo Teravainen. It hasn’t been an issue thus far, but now on the road, their offense may slow down a bit. Carolina may still win the series, but the Devils can at least begin to make it look interesting in Game 3.

Toronto Maple Leafs -1.5 (+185) over Florida Panthers

This is another play that may come as a surprise given how the series has gone thus far. The Panthers have been on an absolute tear, winning 3 straight games over the Boston Bruins to eliminate them in the first round and have now won the first 2 games of this series. However, the Leafs are simply too talented and now too desperate to not bounce back. The series shifting to South Beach shouldn’t cause any hesitation either.

The Leafs headed down to Florida in March and torched the Panthers in a 6-2 victory. Let’s also not forget that Toronto got off to a 2-0 lead in Game 2. With Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner and John Tavares, to name just a few, their star-studded roster has the pieces to take Game 3. They were able to knock out the Tampa Bay Lightning in the first round after a 7-3 loss in Game 1, after all. We’re expecting some regression from Sergei Bobrovsky after overperforming in recent games, which should open things up for Matthews and company.

Dallas Stars ML (-140) over Seattle Kraken

Perhaps the least surprising leg of our NHL mega parlay is in the last game of the day. The Seattle Kraken have been the surprise story of the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs after eliminating the defending-champion Colorado Avalanche and they even stole Game 1 from the Stars. However, Dallas then came through for our best bet in Game 2 with a multi-goal victory.

Joe Pavelski is back healthy, and coupled with Jason Robertson and Roope Hintz, they have more than enough firepower in front of goaltender Jake Oettinger. He’s been one of the strongest netminders all season, and that should continue in Game 3. Oettinger is the primary reason the Stars allowed the 3rd-fewest goals per game this season. Similarly, they were even better on the road, allowing just 2.49 goals per game away from Dallas. That was tied for the best mark in the NHL with the Boston Bruins. So, although Game 3 will be in Seattle, I’m still confident in the Stars will shine brightest to take the 2-1 series lead.
