After a wild 13-game NHL Saturday, we’re usually in for a more chilled-out Sunday. However, with just 2 weeks left in the NHL regular season, we’re back in action with a great 9-game slate. We have quite a few teams on the second leg of a back-to-back, which can make things a bit trickier to analyze. On the flip side, it can also provide ways to find great value. That’s what we’ve done for you here to create our NHL mega parlay to potentially cover your bets for the start of the new week.

Along with our NHL mega parlay, be sure to check out all of our NHL picks for today’s action.

New York Rangers -1.5 (+190) over Washington Capitals

We’re not going to waste any time getting started, as this Metro Division rivalry is the first game of the day. Frankly, it’s difficult to call this a rivalry this season. Washington’s playoff hopes are gone, while the Rangers are still battling for the best seed possible. Admittedly, it was strange to see New York reducing the ice time of some of their top skaters on Friday night. However, with seeding still yet to be determined, we’re confident they’re going to be out with a vengeance to take down Alex Ovechkin and company.

Ove’s pursuit of the all-time goalscoring record is about their only highlight of this season. The Caps have been dealing with injuries all year, and although they’re healthier now, they’ve been struggling to find the net. They were smashed 5-1 by the Tampa Bay Lightning in their most recent game, which marked back-to-back games of them scoring just a single goal. With New York’s Igor Shesterkin being the reigning Vezina Trophy winner, we’ll back the Rangers to win by multiple goals, as they did against the Caps just over 2 weeks ago.

Pittsburgh Penguins -1.5 (+110) over Philadelphia Flyers

After hosting the NHL-best Boston Bruins yesterday afternoon, the Penguins should feel relieved to welcome in their cross-state rivals. Truthfully, it’s difficult to call it a rivalry, as the Flyers have been on the struggle bus for multiple seasons now. Meanwhile, the Pens will be fighting to maintain the second wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference for the next 2 weeks. Therefore, they need to ensure they take care of business in games they’re expected to win.

This is one of those situations. The Flyers will also be on the second night of a back-to-back, which is even more significant for them than most teams. Despite playing the league’s 3rd-highest scoring team in the Buffalo Sabres last night, the Flyers are clearly aware of their struggles against Pittsburgh, as they saved Carter Hart for this game. Regardless, that hasn’t been enough for them this season. Along with the home-ice advantage, we expect the Pens to inch closer to securing that playoff spot.

Vancouver Canucks ML (+105) over Los Angeles Kings

Our final play may be the most surprising one for most fans to see. There’s no denying that the Kings are the playoff-bound team and that the Canucks have fallen short of expectations. However, there is great value here, especially with the game being in Vancouver. Not only that, but the Kings will be the ones of the second leg of a back-to-back after being in Seattle to face off against the Kraken just 22 hours prior. The Canucks fell in overtime on Friday night, but they’ve still had a great month.

They’re 6-2-2 in their last 10 games and went 10-3-2 in March. One of those wins came against the Kings, which was in Los Angeles. If that wasn’t enough for you, they handled the Kings with ease the last time they visited Vancouver. The Canucks took them down 4-1 in that matchup. The Canucks’ record may not be overly impressive, but they still have great talent on the ice. For example, Elias Pettersson’s 96 points are among the most in the NHL. Again, LA will be the ones in the playoffs, but Vancouver can steal this game tonight.
