Toronto Maple Leafs -1.5 (+140) over Nashville Predators

We have 3 different bet types for our NHL mega parlay, and it kicks off with a puck line play. As with every team we’ve targeted, both teams in this matchup are on the 2nd leg of a back-to-back. The Leafs went down in a very tough matchup against the Carolina Hurricanes, which is nothing to hang your head about. However, the Preds beatdown was far from inspiring. They were absolutely blown away by the Seattle Kraken 7-2.

The more concerning part about that loss was the starting goaltender Juuse Saros was in net. With him not available, that should allow the immense skating talent of Toronto to quickly bounce back. The Leafs snuck away with a 2-1 win when these teams last met, but they should be able to find the back of the net far more often this time around. It also doesn’t hurt that Nashville doesn’t have several skaters they did in that previous matchup, as they were big sellers at the trade deadline. Look for the Leafs to build some momentum heading down the home stretch of the season.

Chicago Blackhawks ML (+145) over Vancouver Canucks

There’s no denying that this is not exactly the premier matchup of the weekend. These have been 2 very disappointing teams this season. However, the value is still with the Blackhawks given that this game is at least on home ice for them. Similarly, the Canucks are being a bit overvalued after their shocking upset yesterday over the Dallas Stars. The ‘Hawks fell to the Minnesota Wild, but it was far from a blowout. Scoring against Minnesota has proven to be very difficult the 2nd half of the season, but that is far from the case against Vancouver.

The ‘Nucks have allowed the 6th-most goals per game this season, and have the absolute worst penalty kill unit. There has also been turmoil within the franchise with rumors surrounding key players such as defenseman Quinn Hughes. Admittedly, Chicago isn’t much better in terms of goaltending, but they still held Minnesota to just 2 goals yesterday before the empty-netter. The Blackhawks were also one of the handful of teams to beat the Boston Bruins, which came just 2 weeks ago, so they can handle the Canucks on home ice.

Los Angeles Kings vs St. Louis Blues – Under 6.5 (-110)

Rounding out our NHL mega parlay is a play on a total. The Kings are coming off a very impressive win over the Winnipeg Jets in which they held them to just 1 goal. They get to remain on home ice for this matchup, which bodes well against a Blues team that is far from home. St. Louis was also another team that was a big seller at the trade deadline, which included sending away Vladimir Tarasenko and former-captain Ryan O’Reilly.

Don’t let their 6 goals last night fool you. They were facing the NHL’s worst goaltending team in the Anaheim Ducks. LA’s goaltending was not up to par to begin the season; however, since the start of 2023, they’ve allowed the 8th-fewest goals per game. That’s great news against a depleted Blues squad. As for St. Louis, the swap to goaltender Joel Hofer has been incredible. The 22-year-old won 3 of his first 4 starts, which included a shutout victory. He’ll be available tonight, as Jordan Binnington was in net last night. With all that in mind, we expect 6 or fewer goals to be scored in this matchup.
