NHL Sunday mega parlay (+742 odds): Bruins shoot for the Stars

There are 7 games on Sunday’s NHL slate, which means we have more than enough to work with when putting together today’s mega parlay. Along with this parlay, be sure to check out our full game previews for each NHL matchup. Now let’s get right to it.

Sharks vs Hurricanes under 6 (-105)

Canadiens ML (+118)

Bruins vs Stars under 5.5 (-102)

Parlay odds: +742

Sharks vs Hurricanes under 6 (-105)

Both of these teams have been very solid defensively this season. Carolina is stacked defensively, and it is no surprise they rank as the best team in the league. The Hurricanes are allowing a league-low 2.37 goals per game to their opponents, and they also have the league’s best penalty kill at 88.9 percent. The Sharks ran 24th in terms of goals per game with 2.77, and finding the back of the net may be tough against the Hurricanes. The Hurricanes score at a high rate, but the Sharks could hold them down to a respectable goal total. Because of that, consider taking the under.

Montreal Canadiens ML (+118) over Columbus Blue Jackets

They have struggled to find the win column all season long, but they have a decent opportunity to put in a good showing against the Blue Jackets in this one. Entering Saturday, Montreal has lost its last 5 games, although the Habs took Vegas and Colorado beyond regulation and fell 5-4 to Anaheim. The Canadiens have been pretty pesky at times over the past few weeks or so, and largely without a plethora of regular players. Recently Montreal has been without some combination of Brendan Gallagher, Joel Armia, Cole Caufield, Jonathan Drouin, Paul Byron, and Christian Dvorak. Those losses were in addition to the long-term absences of Carey Price, Shea Weber, and Joel Edmundson. Gallagher and Byron are expected to be back for this game. Caufield and Armia are questionable, but close to returning. Montreal has at least played decent lately against solid teams and flirted with upsets.

Columbus is anything but consistent and has some bad losses, so if Montreal can be not too far off against top NHL teams, it can give an average-at-best Columbus team a run for its money. Any players they get back will only help on the ice and in the locker room. Consider backing the Canadiens.

Bruins vs Stars under 5.5 (-102)

The Bruins possess one of the league’s best defenses in nearly every category, and the Stars aren’t built to overcome such a tough defense. Dallas’ offense has been rather inconsistent this season, and on the year they rank just 18th in goals per game (2.88) and 17th in shots per game (30.8). While the Stars may come out energized following a shutout loss 2 nights ago, the Bruins should be able to control the pace of this game on both sides of the ice. These teams are used to playing low-scoring games against one another, as the under is 7-1 in their last 8 meetings. Look for this one to be a low-scoring affair.
