Per usual, we have another Saturday with a huge slate of games — 14 to be exact. The action starts up in the early afternoon. With so many games going on, it’s only fitting for us to piece together our favorite plays into a parlay with a mega payout. Breaking down so many games can get overwhelming, but that’s what we’re here for. We’ve come up with our best plays for today’s matchups to boost your bankroll for days to come.
Before we dive in, be sure to check out our NHL picks for today’s action.
Edmonton Oilers -1.5 (+145) over Dallas Stars
Let’s get things started with a great plus-money play. The Stars are continuing their road trip as they visit the Oilers. Slowing down Connor McDavid and company is a tall task for any team, even a defensive one like the Stars. Their recent blowout 7-2 win may have some fans overvaluing them, as it was against the lowly Arizona Coyotes. They were the worst team in the NHL last season and are trending that way once again.
Meanwhile, the Oilers may be getting undervalued given their upset loss to the New Jersey Devils. However, they are still 7-4-0 and behind only the impressive Vegas Golden Knights in the Pacific Division. Edmonton was also on a 5-game winning streak prior to that loss that included multi-goal wins over the Pittsburgh Penguins, St. Louis Blues and Nashville Predators. With that type of track record, they can overcome another defensive team in the Stars.

Tampa Bay Lightning 3-way ML (-135) over Buffalo Sabres
We don’t need a multi-goal win for this next play, but we may very well get one. The Lightning are a team that has won 2 of the last 3 Stanley Cups, so being in the 3rd place in the Atlantic Division is still not acceptable for them — nor is the fact that they just lost in a shootout on home ice to the Carolina Hurricanes. They are a great team in their own right, but Tampa Bay doesn’t take losing to anyone lightly.
That should be the case tonight with the Sabres on the second night of a back-to-back. Ironically enough, they just had to face the Hurricanes themselves last night, in Carolina. That means this will also be the second night of a road back-to-back to make matters worse for Sabres fans. Their recent history against the Lightning does not bode well for them either. In their most recent 2 meetings, Tampa Bay has taken it to them by finals of 6-0 and 5-1.
Pittsburgh Penguins -1.5 (+115) over Seattle Kraken
Much like the Lightning, the Penguins are a team that expects to be playing into June. They are perennially 1 of the favorites to come out of the Eastern Conference and will be out for revenge. They are another team that has not gotten off to the best start to the year, but their woes have primarily been on the road. They won each of their first 3 road games by at least 4 goals each and a combined score of 18-5.
Pittsburgh only recently lost its first home game to a Bruins team that is buzzing right now. One of their road woes was actually against the Kraken exactly 1 week ago. Playing down to an inferior opponent like the Kraken is unacceptable for Sidney Crosby and company. This will also be the last game of the Kraken’s road trip and they may overlook this matchup, being pleased with what they’ve accomplished so far. Regardless, the Pens should be able to remind them that they crushed them 6-1 in their first meeting last season.
