Cale Makar over 0.5 goals (+195)

Parlay Odds +1357

Let’s break down each of the legs one by one.

Tampa Bay Lightning vs Florida Panthers to go to overtime (+360)

It’s the Battle of Florida for the second round of the playoffs. These teams have two of the best offenses in the league, so this will be an incredibly entertaining series. Whoever wins the opening game will set the tone for the series to come. When these two teams met in the playoffs last season, their first game of the playoffs went to quintuple overtime. You read that right, five OTs before the Tampa Bay Lightning sealed it. While it’s unlikely these teams see another 5OT game, the chances that this one goes to overtime is more likely than oddsmakers are making it out to be.

At +360, bettors are getting great value for two teams that are built very similarly. They play fast and strong, and both teams have competent goaltending. This will be a very physical series, and neither team will want to give in, especially in Game 1 of the series. There have been four overtime games in the last four nights of the playoffs. As things get more intense, matchups become even tighter and tonight should be no different. Considering the stakes, it’s unlikely either of these teams gets blown out in the first game of the second round. Take this game to go to overtime at +360 odds.

Cale Makar over 0.5 goals in Blues vs Avalanche (+195)

Despite playing just four games, Cale Makar was easily the best player throughout the first round of the playoffs. He finished with 10 points in four games and scored in three different games, including an overtime winner. He is playing incredible hockey right now, and only Connor McDavid of the Oilers has performed to a similar level in the playoffs so far. In one of the meetings during the first round, Makar registered a career-high 12 shots. He is a man on a mission right now, and if the Avalanche are able to win tonight, Makar will likely play a major role.

Makar is averaging more than 25 minutes during the playoffs and has four power-play points in four playoff games. As a defenseman, he is taking over games like nobody has seen in quite some time. The 23-year-old superstar has a long way to go before cementing himself as the best in the league, but he is slowly building his case these playoffs. Makar doesn’t need time and space to make a play, he creates his own time and space naturally with his speed and skill. If the Avalanche want to get off to a good start, they’re going to need Makar to continue his elite pace. Take Make to record over 0.5 goals tonight.
