Game 1 of this series did not disappoint. A game with 10 total goals scored that is not a blowout is always a treat to watch. If that is what happened to open the series, then the remaining potential 6 games are going to be a wild ride. On Saturday the Oilers will be pushing to tie up the series going back home while the Golden Knights will be looking to go up by 2 games.

If you’re looking to have some action on this game, check out our Oilers vs Golden Knights Same Game Parlay below. You can also read our NHL picks for all the NHL playoff action.

Oilers -1.5 (+175)

The Oilers lost Game 1 of the opening round against the Kings and responded by winning the following game to even the series. Edmonton is pushing for the same result against the Golden Knights. This time it’s a little bit different being on the road. But the Oilers were 2-1 on the road in the first round, including a win directly after a road loss. This is not unfamiliar territory for Edmonton and they will give a big push to tie up the series.

Wednesday’s loss to the Golden Knights was the Oilers’ first in regulation since March 11. That is 22 games over nearly 2 months without a regulation loss. That shows how well the Oilers have been playing. The 2 best players in this series, arguably the best left in these playoffs, are on the same team and the Golden Knights cannot match the top-end talent of Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. If the Oilers’ depth can neutralize that of the Golden Knights, Edmonton will be in a great position to win with authority.

Over 6.5 goals (-135)

The over has been hot for both of these teams lately. In their respective last 10 games, the over is 12-7-1. Combining Vegas home games and Edmonton road games over that span, the over-under record is 8-4. The totals trends have been consistent head-to-head as well. The over has hit in 4 of the last 5 games between the Golden Knights and Oilers, as well as in 4 of the last 5 head-to-head when Vegas was the home team.

The offensive prowess of these teams has been on display in these playoffs, as shown by Game 1’s 6-4 final. The names on both sides are reason enough to make a high total appealing. The Oilers have scored or allowed 4+ goals in 6 of their 7 games while the Golden Knights have scored or allowed 4+ goals in all 6 of their postseason games. There has not been an indication yet that those trends will reverse.

Connor McDavid anytime goal scorer (-115)

If someone had said that in the second round of the playoffs, the Oilers’ leading scorer would have 11 goals and 15 points with the next best being 3 goals and 12 points, the rational assumption would have been that Connor McDavid would be the guy in front. Obviously that’s not the case as Leon Draisaitl is playing like a man possessed. McDavid is the best player on the planet, and he is due.

It’s not exactly going on a limb to pick the best player in the world to score a goal. But even though McDavid has over a point per game in the playoffs, it does not feel like he has had the full McDavid takeover game yet. The stakes are higher and higher with each game and now they have a small hole to dig out of. McDavid is a man on a mission which is even scarier than the normal McDavid. He is on a line with Draisaitl and Evander Kane. Look for a lot of offense out of McDavid and his line.
