After a great Sunday with 3 Stanley Cup Playoff matchups, we’re starting out the week slow with just 1 featured game. However, given the teams on the ice, there should be no shortage of excitement. The Edmonton Oilers and Vegas Golden Knights are tied 1-1 in their series as they shift up north to Canada. They were the only game back on Saturday night, and we’re expecting just as many fireworks. With that in mind, we’ve put together an Oilers vs Golden Knights Same Game Parlay for tonight’s Game 3.

Along with our Oilers vs Golden Knights Same Game Parlay, be sure to check out all of our NHL picks for the Stanley Cup Playoff action.

Edmonton Oilers -1.5 (+135)

The first leg of our Oilers vs Golden Knights Same Game Parlay likely comes as no surprise after seeing how dominant Edmonton looked in Game 2. That’s the performance we expected from them to open the series, but it took a wake-up call in Game 1. Regardless, the Oilers were favored in each of the first two games despite being on the road, so we’re even more confident with them back on home ice. It’s important to note that when Edmonton wins, they win big.

That was on full display in Game 2 getting out to a 5-0 lead, and it was evident throughout the season. Vegas may have won the Pacific Division, but it was the Oilers that had the far better goal differential. In fact, their +65 differential was tied for the 3rd-best in the NHL and was higher than the Knights by 22 goals. Discussions have now shifted to debates of whether or not Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl are the best duo in NHL history, so with those 2 on the ice, our Oilers vs Golden Knights Same Game Parlay starts off with a smooth Edmonton victory.

Over 6.5 goals (-145)

After discussing the reasons we’re expecting an Oilers multi-goal victory, it’s no surprise that we’re focused on a high-scoring game. There’s the argument that there were only 6 goals in Game 2. However, after a 4-0 first period lead, Edmonton had the luxury of taking their foot off the gas. Keep in mind there were 10 total goals scored in Game 1. As mentioned, McDavid and Draisaitl are a historical duo who once again were the top 2 point-scorers in the NHL.

Therefore, it’s no surprise that the Oilers were the highest scoring team in the league as well. They were just as dominant on home ice, averaging 3.88 goals per game. That was on full display the last time they were in Edmonton, which was a 6-3 win over the Los Angeles Kings. A result like that would work out perfectly for each of the first two legs of our Oilers vs Golden Knights Same Game Parlay and will likely support the final one as well.

1st Period Goals – Over 2.5 (+180)

This last leg of our Oilers vs Golden Knights Same Game Parlay certainly correlates perfectly with the game finishing with over 6.5 goals. With that in mind, all the same reasoning above applies. Similarly, we can pinpoint the recent trend of fast starts for the Oilers as well. Firstly, they scored 4 goals in the first period themselves in Game 2. Prior to that, this series got started with 5 first-period goals.

Better yet, we can go back even further to their first round series against the Kings. Each of Edmonton’s last 3 games against LA saw at least 3 or more goals scored in the first period. The Oilers were the ones to do it themselves in 2 of those 3 games. With Draisaitl having a historic Stanley Cup Playoffs with 13 goals thus far, expect another fast start in Game 3.
