Team USA -1.5 (+130)
Team USA’s ticket to the Championship game is already punched, so this game is not as important for them as it may be for Sweden. But the U.S. just looks that good. They flexed offense in a dominant win over Finland who beat Sweden, and flexed defense in a suffocating win over Canada in regulation who squeaked by Sweden in overtime.
The Americans may not have the urgency that the Swedes do in this game, but they are now on home ice in Boston. They won’t roll over just because they don’t need the win. They would also love to give their home fans two wins at the TD Garden this week. Team USA will keep their foot enough on the gas which is still good enough to take care of Team Sweden.

Over 5.5 (-125)
In the 4 combined games these teams have played, the over has hit in 3 of them. Team USA has scored 9 goals in their first 2 games. If they can hold to, or close to, that average, they will do their part in taking the game over the total. The Swedes have allowed 8 goals in their 2 games, so the door should be open for the Americans to produce.
Despite not having a win, Team Sweden has looked decent in this tournament. In both games, they scored 3 goals and were a shot away from winning. They have showed timely scoring and have had contributions up and down their lineup. It would not be surprising to see Team Sweden get a couple goals by Team USA and drive the total, even if they get beat.
Auston Matthews anytime goal scorer (+175)
Despite 9 goals scored and 2 wins by the Americans, Auston Matthews has been quiet so far in this tournament. He has an assist and just 2 shots on goals over those 2 games. For Matthews, he doesn’t care about a lack of production because the team has been winning. However, usually with a player of his caliber, he won’t stay quiet too long.
Matthews matches up well against all 4 centers on Team Sweden, as well as a team that in general is struggling to prevent goals. His superstar linemates and power play unit only help. Now playing in front of American crowd as the Captain of Team USA, Matthews should have a little extra jam in his game on Monday to get on the scoresheet with his first goal of the tournament.
