The 2021 NFL season has been epic so far. Now we’ll be treated to another full slate of exciting games this Sunday for Week 9. We have one of the best games of the slate here as the Cincinnati Bengals host the Cleveland Browns. What better way to make this AFC North rivalry game even more exciting than by betting a same game parlay? We also have thoughts on the side and total for every Week 9 matchup, of course, which you can view in our NFL picks tab.

But for now let’s dive into this same game parlay:

Cincinnati Bengals -6.5 (+175)

Joe Mixon anytime touchdown scorer (-115)

Under 47 (-106)

Same Game Parlay odds: +899

We have a 2-leg same game parlay which pays out just shy of 9/1 with FanDuel Sportsbook. Let’s break it down:

Cincinnati Bengals -6.5 (+175)

To start this same game parlay off we have the Bengals on an alternative spread. Cleveland is in a downward spiral right now, and the Odell Beckham drama this past week was just the tip of the iceberg. The Browns have scored 17 points or fewer in three straight games, and have looked like one of the worst offenses in the league. Baker Mayfield is playing hurt, and he’s playing poorly. Cincinnati had one bad game against the Jets last week, but other than that they’ve looked great.

Just the week before, they dominated the Ravens on the road. Even the loss to New York wasn’t quite as bad as it seemed. The Bengals were up 11 late in the fourth quarter, and only lost because of a bizarre sequence of events. That was a bad spot for them anyway, and they should bounce back here at home.

Joe Mixon anytime touchdown scorer (-115)

This correlates heavily with the first leg of our same game parlay. If the Bengals are covering -6.5, it’s very likely that Mixon found the endzone. Cincy’s featured back has now scored a touchdown in five straight games, so I think -115 has some standalone value. Mixon even scored twice last week, and gets all the goal-line work. He also already has two receiving touchdowns this season, giving us another layer of hope for this prop. The Browns have a ferocious pass-rush and a lot of talent in their secondary, so I’m expecting the Bengals to run the ball a bit more than usual here.

Under 47 (-106)

To wrap this same game parlay up, we’ve got the under. Like I just mentioned, I think the Bengals will have more of a run-heavy game-plan here. Joe Burrow even acknowledged this week that the team is going to be hyper-aware of Myles Garrett. Beckham hasn’t been putting up huge numbers by any means, but his absence makes it a lot easier to game-plan for the Bengals’ defense. Cleveland’s offense has been completely anemic recently, and this past week they mustered only 10 points against the Steelers. If Cincy is covering -6.5, it’s going to be because their defense got back to playing at the very high level they were before the Jets debacle.
