The 2021 NFL season has been epic so far. Now we’ll be treated to another full slate of exciting games this Sunday for Week 8. We have one of the best games of the slate here as the Cleveland Browns host the Pittsburgh Steelers. It’s a rematch of last year’s epic AFC North wildcard playoff showdown. What better way to make this pivotal division rivalry game even more exciting than by betting a same game parlay? We also have thoughts on the side and total for every Week 8 matchup, of course, which you can view in our NFL picks tab.

But for now let’s dive into this same game parlay:

Pittsburgh Steelers -6.5 (+360)

Najee Harris anytime touchdown scorer (-110)

Chase Claypool over 52.5 receiving yards (-110)

Same Game Parlay odds: +1110

We have a 3-leg same game parlay which pays out just north of 11/1 with FanDuel Sportsbook. Let’s break it down:

Pittsburgh Steelers -6.5 (+360)

To start this same game parlay off we have the Steelers on an alternative spread. I think Pittsburgh is being underestimated. They’ve had this one circled on the calendar ever since the schedule came out, as they look for revenge after the Browns humiliated them in the playoffs. The Steelers have a very good chance to win this one by a touchdown or more since I don’t see Cleveland’s offense doing much at all.

In three of their last four games, the Browns have scored 17 points or fewer. In Baker Mayfield’s last start, they scored 14 against the Cardinals. But they really only scored seven, since the other seven points came on a desperation Hail Mary heave at the end of the first half. Mayfield is playing hurt, and he was ineffective and erratic even before the most recent aggravation of his shoulder injury. There’s a good chance he completely face-plants here against a tough defense.

Najee Harris anytime touchdown scorer (-110)

This correlates nicely with the first leg of our same game parlay. If the Steelers win and cover -6.5, it’s going to be because Harris had some success. Harris has scored in four of his six games as a pro, so just in a vacuum I like it at -110. By far Pittsburgh’s best offensive game of the season came a few weeks ago against Denver. In that game, Harris had 122 yards and a touchdown. As he goes, so goes the Steelers offense. Cleveland’s run defense has been shaky, and I expect Pittsburgh to run a lot to neutralize the Browns’ strong pass-rush.

Chase Claypool over 52.5 receiving yards (-110)

To complete this same game parlay and hopefully bring us home, we’ve got the over on Claypool’s yards. The Notre Dame product had one bad game last week, and now oddsmakers have overreacted. He had only two catches for 17 yards last week, but that’s because Pittsburgh’s passing game as a whole struggled. He had seven targets, so he easily could’ve had a bigger night and the volume is encouraging. Just look at his stretch prior to that game. In his preceding three games he had 130, 96 and 70 yards. Cleveland’s secondary certainly isn’t elite, so Big Ben should be able to connect on at least a couple deep balls to Claypool.
