The first handful of weeks of the 2021 NFL season have been epic. Now we’ll be treated to another full slate this coming Sunday for Week 7. We have AFC vs NFC here for Sunday Night Football as the San Francisco 49ers host the Indianapolis Colts. Indy is hoping to keep their recent momentum going, while the 49ers are looking forward to getting Jimmy Garoppolo back. What better way to make this nationally televised game even more exciting than by betting a same game parlay? We also have thoughts on the side and total for every Week 7 matchup, of course, which you can view in our NFL picks tab.
But for now let’s dive into this same game parlay:
Indianapolis Colts ML (+176)
Jonathan Taylor to score 2+ TDs (+650)
Same Game Parlay odds: +1083
We have a 2-leg same game parlay which pays out just north of 10/1 with FanDuel Sportsbook. Let’s break it down:
Indianapolis Colts ML (+176)
To start this same game parlay off we have the Colts on the money line. Indianapolis was a disappointment early on, but that’s mostly because they played a tough schedule and had a ton of injuries. They’ve been picking up steam recently, and have won two of three. It would be three in a row had the Ravens not pulled off a miraculous comeback to beat them in overtime. Carson Wentz has quietly been lights out, and he’s thrown only one interception through six games.
He is pushing the ball down the field with a lot of success, and even threw for over 400 yards against a Baltimore defense that is playing really well right now. Garoppolo is returning from injury here, and he didn’t look too good even before getting hurt. The 49ers want to run the ball, but the Colts have an elite run defense led by DeForest Buckner. I don’t see any reason for Indy to be this big of an underdog.
Jonathan Taylor to score 2+ TDs (+650)
It should go without saying that this correlates heavily with the first leg of our same game parlay. If Taylor is scoring multiple touchdowns, I’d have a hard time believing that the Colts are losing. Dating back to last season Taylor has scored multiple touchdowns in five of his last 10 regular-season games, so getting +650 seems like a steal just as a standalone. He’s scored multiple times in each of the past two weeks. Taylor wasn’t scoring many touchdowns early in the year, but that was always a fluke as he just didn’t capitalize on a handful of goal-line carries.
There’s a lot of bad weather in the forecast here, and it looks like Sunday Night Football could be played in a downpour with harsh winds. If that’s the case, it means the Colts are going to be running the ball a ton. Taylor’s volume should be off the charts, so I think he’s got a very good chance to find the endzone multiple times.
