We’ve arrived at NFL Week 7 and every team in the league has experienced at least one defeat. No one would have expected PJ Walker and Zach Wilson to be the quarterbacks to hand the 49ers and Eagles their first losses of the season, but that goes to show how nothing is a gimme in the NFL. There was plenty to digest in Week 6, but the good news is that the Pickswise handicappers stayed hot and currently holds a 99-81-4 record on the season for +33.4 units of profit. Make sure you keep checking our NFL predictions as we add our picks on the side and total for every game throughout the week.
Meanwhile, we currently boast a 21-12 NFL best bets record so don’t forget to give those a look as well. For now, let’s break down the NFL Week 6 opening lines and our best early bet to make.

Best early bet for NFL Week 7: Detroit Lions +2.5 over Baltimore Ravens (-110)
I can definitely see the Lions being a public-money favorite this week, so I’m jumping on getting them +2.5 now while I’m able to. Detroit just improved to 5-1 with a dominant 20-6 win over the Buccaneers and will have all the confidence in the world. The Ravens just pulled off a big win themselves against the Titans in London, but playing the week after a trip across the Atlantic has proven to be problematic for some teams, as we saw with the Falcons against the Commanders in Week 5 and with the Bills against the Giants just last night.
The main reason I love the Lions in this spot though is their run defense. Detroit is yet to allow any team to rush for 100 yards against them this season, having allowed a league-fewest 388 total rushing yards this season. They also rank 2nd in the league in yards per carry allowed (3.2). Given Baltimore’s focus on the run game, this could severely impact their offense and I can’t see how they keep up with a Lions team that has scored the 4th-most points in the NFL this season.
