The Kansas City Chiefs and Washington Football Team are getting together at FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland Sunday and we should bet on it. Not just any bet, but a same game parlay. Why not? One strategy I like to use when making these is to find a skill-position guy that I think could have a big game (think Marquise Brown last Monday night). As you know, the word “big” can mean different things for different guys. The one I am targeting Sunday only needs a line of 6-60-1 to get home on a +1100 bet. That’s crazy!

Ricky Seals-Jones over 59.5 receiving yards
Seals-Jones 6+ receptions
Seals-Jones to score a touchdown
Parlay odds: +1100
Ricky Seals-Jones over 59.5 receiving yards, 6+ receptions & to score a touchdown
We have so many things working in our favor on this one it’s not even funny. First of all, opportunity is a must and I think we’re covered. With Logan Thomas out, the Football Team gave Seals-Jones all kinds of run last week, playing him on 99% of the snaps. We’re clean there. Just because a guy is on the field, doesn’t mean he’s destined for greatness, though. His team has to use him. Last week Seals-Jones was targeted 9 times. Love that.
Now we just need the game script to break our way and it would be nice if the opponent has a weak defense. Game script should be easy because the Chiefs are going to hang points all over the place. They’ve got the league’s number 1 offense (DVOA) and they have to be frustrated about getting throttled last week by the Buffalo Bills in front of everybody on SNF. If they’re scoring points, the Football Team will be forced to throw to catch up. That’s just science (and math).
When the Football Team throws, Seals-Jones will likely be targeted. Only 5 teams in the NFL have given up more receptions to the tight-end position than Kansas City and nobody has given up more yardage to the position. They’ve given up only 2 touchdowns to tight ends but whatever. The most any team has given up is 5, so it’s not like we’re way off the pace there. Seals-Jones leads the Football team with targets inside the 10-yard line this season, so he should get an opportunity to score.
If Seals-Jones has a 6-65-1 line Sunday, we will hit a +1100 bet. That’s crazy!
