In Week 2 of the NFL season, one bettor famously — or now infamously, I suppose it can be said — nailed the first 15 games of a 16-team parlay. A $25 stake would have returned upwards of $700,000. It fizzled out, however, when the Detroit Lions failed to upset the Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football.
We are going big ourselves in Week 3 (and we’ll do this every week of the regular season), although we will keep it slightly more reasonable with “only” 14 Sunday games instead of also including TNF and MNF.
Here is our Week 3 millionaire parlay.
Buffalo Bills over Washington Football Team
Although Taylor Heinicke is a nice story, he isn’t about to go into Buffalo and beat Josh Allen. You know there are going to be some upsets every week, but this isn’t going to be one of them.
Cleveland Browns over Chicago Bears
It’s Justin Fields time in Chicago. Unfortunately for the Bears, a road date with Cleveland is not the easiest situation for a first NFL start.
New England Patriots over New Orleans Saints
The Patriots picked up the pace on the heels of an opening loss by humiliating the Jets 25-6. Head coach Bill Belichick’s defense will likely force Jameis Winston into numerous mistakes.
Atlanta Falcons over New York Giants
Both of these teams stink, but Atlanta at least played Tampa Bay close for three-plus quarters in Week 2. The Giants, on the other hand, have no semblance of momentum.
Arizona Cardinals over Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jaguars probably won’t go 0-17, but their merciful first win of the season almost certainly won’t come against the Cardinals. Kyler Murray and company are way too good.
Baltimore Ravens over Detroit Lions
More than a handful of games this weekend are absolute no-brainers. One such contest pits Baltimore against Detroit, in which Lamar Jackson should run circles around the Lions’ defense.
Kansas City Chiefs over Los Angeles Chargers
I’m not about to bet on the Chiefs to lose 2 games in a row — not at this point in the season or at any point in the season. But this should be a fun one against the Chargers.
Cincinnati Bengals over Pittsburgh Steelers
It doesn’t get much better than AFC North rivalry games. Cincinnati won’t be afraid to go on the road, as the Steelers just lost in Pittsburgh to Las Vegas after beating Buffalo away from home in Week 1.
Denver Broncos over New York Jets
The Broncos are quietly 2-0 and have surrendered a total of just 26 points through two weeks. They may not give up any to Zach Wilson and the reeling Jets.
Tennessee Titans over Indianapolis Colts
It’s a big one in the AFC South — between the only two decent teams in the division, in fact. Indianapolis is already 0-2, though, so Tennessee has a chance to take complete control.
Las Vegas Raiders over Miami Dolphins
No team has been more impressive through 2 games than the Raiders, who knocked off the Ravens on Monday Night Football and then cruised on the road against the Steelers. They probably won’t have any trouble with Tua Tagovailoa-less Miami.
Los Angeles Rams over Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The marquee contest of Week 3 pits the Rams against the Bucs. Although the Rams don’t exactly have the biggest home-field advantage in the NFL, it’s a lot better than going to Tampa Bay.
Seattle Seahawks over Minnesota Vikings
Minnesota has lost twice by a combined 4 points — and just 3 in regulation. I expect something similar on Sunday, with Russell Wilson and Seattle being too clutch at the end.
Green Bay Packers over San Francisco 49ers
Unsurprisingly, the Packers got on track in a big way following their Week 1 disaster. I’ll take Aaron Rodgers over Jimmy Garoppolo any day of the week, especially in primetime.
14-team parlay pays out +80481!
