Week 3 of the NFL season kicked off on Thursday night with an AFC North showdown that saw Cleveland take care of Pittsburgh 29-17. It was a nice day at the office for Pickswise Nation, as we had the Browns -4.5, went 2-1 on player prop bets and cashed both of our anytime touchdown scorer plays (Najee Harris at +160 and Nick Chubb at -115). Now we’ll try to keep the momentum going into Sunday.
Here is this week’s mega parlay:
Texans ML (+125)
Panthers ML (+135)
Ravens -5.5 alternate spread (+142)
Parlay odds: +1208
For this parlay we are going with one favorite against an alternate spread and two underdogs on the money line. Let’s break down each of the three legs one by one.
Texans ML over Bears (+125)
Houston was a big underdog in each of its first 2 games, but they tied the Colts and then almost pulled off a road upset of the Broncos. In both games the Texans were winning most of the way. The Bears beat the 49ers back in Week 1, but that may have been a fluke. The game was played in horrible weather conditions and the field was like a slip and slide. Through 2 games, quarterback Justin Fields still hasn’t thrown for 200 total yards. That tells you everything you need to know about the state of offensive coordinator Luke Getsy’s attack.
Last week against the Packers, Getsy’s unit went multiple quarters without getting a first down. Houston’s defense has quietly been playing pretty well, most recently holding Denver QB Russell Wilson to only 219 yards while sacking him 3 times.

Panthers ML over Saints (+135)
Carolina is still looking for its first win of the year, and has a good shot of getting it as a home underdog. New Orleans shouldn’t be a road favorite over just about anybody right now. The Saints looked terrible for most of their Week 1 matchup with the Falcons, as Jameis Winston barely cracked 50 yards through 3 quarters before they mounted a furious late comeback. Then they got thrashed at home by a shorthanded Bucs team in Week 2. Winston is reportedly playing through a back injury, and it shows. Even though the Panthers are winless, don’t be surprised if they take advantage.
They could just as easily be 2-0, as they lost each of their first 2 games on long field goals in the final seconds. Carolina’s talented young edge rushers should be able to pester Winston and pave the way to a minor upset.

Ravens -5.5 alternate spread over Patriots (+142)
This is a great bounce-back spot for the Ravens, and you can buy them low following their epic collapse against the Dolphins. The spread is -2.5, but I would happily play at up considerably higher as long as it’s kept below the key numbers of 6 and 7. Sure, Baltimore blew it last week, but through six and a half quarters of football this season they were outscoring opponents 59-23. Now the Ravens face a New England offense that sure as heck isn’t Miami. The Patriots were terrible against those same Dolphins in Week 1 and they were bad – at least offensively – again during last Sunday’s 17-14 win over Pittsburgh in what was a thoroughly awful football game.
Mac Jones has more turnovers (3) than touchdowns (2), and New England is averaging a mere 3.8 yards per rushing attempt. Lamar Jackson, on the other hand, is playing at an MVP level to the tune of 531 passing yards, 136 rushing yards, 7 total touchdowns and only 1 interception.
