The 2021 NFL season has been a wild ride, and the regular season wraps up on Sunday with a full Week 18 slate. The playoffs are almost here, and what better way to celebrate than by betting a same game parlay? We’ve got an NFC North rivalry matchup between the Packers and Lions here, and I’ve cooked up an SGP for the occasion:

Here we go:

Green Bay Packers -13.5 alternate spread (+300)

Over 44.5 (-110)

Parlay odds: +574

We have a 2-leg same game parlay, which pays out at north of 5/1 with FanDuel Sportsbook. Let’s break it down.

Green Bay Packers -13.5 alternate spread (+300)

To start this same game parlay we’ve got the Packers on an alternate spread. There’s a lot of variance in this game, because nobody really knows how much Aaron Rodgers is going to play. Matt LaFleur has said he’s going to play his starters because he doesn’t want them having a 3-week layoff before their first playoff game. Nobody seems to believe him. I don’t really believe him either, but there’s clearly a chance Rodgers and the rest of the starters play a lot.

And if they do, then this game is probably going to be lopsided. So at +300, I think it’s worth an investment. It makes perfect sense that Green Bay wouldn’t want to be super rusty in the divisional round following their bye. When these teams first played this season, the Packers won by 18.

Over 44.5 (-110)

The second and final leg of this same game parlay is just the straight over in the game. I think it correlates nicely with our first leg, since if the Packers are covering -13.5 they’re obviously having a pretty good day on offense. Even if Rodgers doesn’t play much, Jordan Love should still be able to have some success against a Lions defense that just gave up 51 points to a struggling Seahawks offense. Detroit meanwhile is likely getting Jared Goff back, which is a huge boost to their offense. The last time Goff started, they dropped 30 points on the Cardinals.
