Week 17 only has 3 games with totals above 44.5 points. This makes it very difficult to go crazy on TD props, but if we add in a heavy ML favorite, we can get the value to where we want to be. I tried to stay away from games with very little playoff implications, but a few longer shots had value in those games. As usual, I’ve broken my TD parlay into “The Favorites” and “The Longshots”. Feel free to mix and match to create your idea TD parlay, but I try to stay away from anything above 3-legs. Let’s dive in!

NFL Week 17 TD scorer best bets

Saquon Barkley + Giants ML (+130)

If the Giants win, they’re in the playoffs. They control their own destiny. The Colts are coming off of a short week and Nick Foles is starting again under center. This is a 5.5-point spread for the Giants at home where Barkley has scored in 4/8 games, and he’s scored in 4 of the L5. This is a theme I’m very fond of come late in the season: Get the ball in the hands of your best players. Barkley is just that.

Amon-Ra St. Brown + Lions ML (+155)

The Lions are coming off a loss to the Panthers and need to win out to clinch a WC spot in the playoffs. The Lions are 4-2 at home this season the Bears should be a relief compared to the last two weeks against the Jets and Panthers. St. Brown has 6 TDs this season at Ford Field and the Bears have allowed 12 TDs all season to opposing WRs. Of those 12, 7 were the team’s WR1.

Allen Lazard (+145)

Lazard has only played in 3 career games against the Vikings, and he’s scored in 2 of 3. The big slot corner is the most seasoned WR of the starting bunch (excluding Cobb) and Rodgers will need to rely on him Sunday to keep their playoff dreams alive. The Vikings have been susceptible to slot WRs this season, allowing 5 TDs to the position this season.

Week 17 TD scorer longshot picks

Latavius Murray (+230)

I truly believe the Broncos go run-heavy on Sunday to keep this game close and if they get in the red zone, interim HC Jerry Rosburg will not get cute. Kansas City ranks dead last in opponent red-zone scoring percentage.

Gerald Everett (+330)

There is certainly the revenge angle cooked into this with Everett playing against the team that drafted him in the LA Rams. Staley is also facing his old team and knows one of the biggest weaknesses is Taylor Rapp in coverage. It’s why the Rams have allowed a TD to opposing TEs 6 times.

JaMycal Hasty (+470)

This is my longshot of the day. The Jaguars have no real reason to play in this game as their playoff hopes to hang in the balance Week 18 vs Tennessee. I can see Etienne getting a lighter workload than normal as a result and Hasty sees an uptick in snaps. He’s used out of the backfield and when Etienne went down with injury in Week 12, Hasty jumped in with 12 carries. It’s a value play, but the Texans are ranked dead last in explosive plays to running backs.
