Washington’s playoff hopes are negligible, but the Philadelphia Eagles can take another step toward sealing a wild-card spot by completing a quick season sweep over the fading Football Team at Fedex Field on Sunday.
This NFC East matchup (1:00 pm ET on FOX) comes just 2 weeks after the Eagles won 27-17 at home in the teams’ first meeting of the season. The WFT are looking at losing 4 divisional games to the Cowboys and Eagles in just 4 weeks. We have prepared a 4-leg same game parlay for the contest, which pays +884 odds with FanDuel Sportsbook. Let’s take a look.
Philadelphia Eagles -6.5 alternate spread (+115)
Jalen Hurts over 206.5 passing yards (-114)
DeVonta Smith anytime touchdown scorer (+125)
DeVonta Smith over 54.5 receiving yards (-114)
Parlay odds: +884
Philadelphia Eagles -6.5 alternate spread (+115)
Correlation is the key with this parlay, with all the legs fitting together well if the visiting team wins comfortably. The Eagles went down 10-0 early in the teams’ December 22 meeting before taking over the game with 238 rushing yards and 296 through the air. Washington fielded just-signed QB Garrett Gilbert in that game during a Covid crisis, but their QB situation is not really any more attractive now. Taylor Heinicke completed just 7 passes in his return to action against Dallas on Sunday, and Washington was routed 56-14. Heinicke is set to start again this week, but backup Kyle Allen could see some action as well. The Eagles cruised to another NFC East win over the Giants last week, and they should be able to advance their own playoff hopes and put Washington’s postseason prospects out of their misery. The standard line has moved up a point from Eagles -3.5 to -4.5 with the Football Team ruling out RB Antonio Gibson among others, but let’s move the odds further into plus-money territory by taking -6.5 on an alternate spread.
Jalen Hurts over 206.5 passing yards (-114)
With RB Miles Sanders injured and Jordan Howard not 100 percent healthy, the Eagles have little choice but to put their faith in QB Jalen Hurts more than was the case earlier this season. Hurts has made 31, 26 and 29 pass attempts in his last 3 games, having made no more than 24 in the previous 4. He completed 20 of those 26 passes against the WFT last time around, and should look forward to taking on this secondary again having done so well against them last time. In that contestn, Hurts averaging 11.4 yards per attempt despite having a tougher time in his recent games against the Giants’ and Saints’ defenses. He should get well into the 200s again this time.

DeVonta Smith anytime touchdown scorer (+125)
DeVonta Smith over 54.5 receiving yards (-114)
There was so much draft chat about the relative merits of Ja’Marr Chase, Jaylen Waddle and DeVonta Smith in the spring, but all 3 teams who took those receivers in the top 10 picks look to have hit home runs. Smith continues to impress in his rookie year with the Eagles, and he could be in line for a big day today. He had only 3 catches for 40 yards in the first meeting against Washington, as TE Dallas Goedert had a monster day with 135 yards. However, Smith doubled that with 80 yards against the Giants last week, including a TD that was first overturned and then reinstated! Far from hitting a rookie wall, Smith is looking more comfortable as the season goes on, and another solid day in terms of yardage, plus another score, could be coming on Sunday.
