Week 16 of the NFL season is already off to a hot start, and the action continues with a full slate of football on Sunday. The Detroit Lions facing off against the Atlanta Falcons may not be one of the most marquee matchups out there, but that doesn’t mean we can’t potentially earn a large payday.

The Detroit Lions are not a good football team, but would we be surprised if they go into Atlanta and walk out with a victory? After starting the season 0-10-1, the Lions have won 2 of their last 3 games. They are playing with some momentum, and sometimes that can go a long way this time of year. It appears more and more that Jared Goff is not going to be available, but the good news is that the Atlanta Falcons have not been good at home.
The Falcons have yet to win a game at home, as they have posted a record of 0-5 at Mercedes Benz Stadium. They are also 0-5 against the spread at home. For whatever reason, Atlanta has not been able to get the job done in their own building. The Lions are coming off their best game of the season, and they should be playing with some confidence, even potentially without Goff. It’s worth taking a shot with Detroit.
DeAndre Swift anytime TD scorer (+150)
While DeAndre Smith is listed as questionable for this contest, he appears to be on the right track. If he is able to go, Swift present tremendous value as an anytime TD scorer. With Goff unlikely to play in this contest, that could lead to the Lions relying more on the running game than usual. The former Georgia Bulldog has 4 rushing touchdowns on the season, as well as a pair of receiving touchdowns.
Goff’s absence is a big one for many reasons. Detroit could look to the running game a bit more, which could lead Swift to more touches. In addition, it could lead to him picking up some more receptions out of the backfield in check-down situations. Overall, Swift present strong value at +150 as an anytime TD scorer.
