Seattle are bottom of the NFC West at 3-8 and their defense of their divisional crown effectively ended weeks ago. All the Seahawks have left to play for is pride in what could be Russell Wilson’s final year with the franchise. A visit from West Coast divisional rivals San Francisco usually brings the best out of Seattle, who have won 16 of the last 19 meetings, so can we expect a response from the Hawks after 6 defeats in their last 7 games?
The 49ers have won 3 straight to move into the 6th spot in the NFC wild-card race, but can’t afford to make any mistakes if they are to stay there. They head north as 3.5-point favorites but make the trip without linebacker Fred Warner and wide receiver Deebo Samuel.
Even with all Seattle’s troubles, this should be a keenly contested Week 13 matchup and you can read the full preview of San Francisco 49ers vs Seattle Seahawks here. We’ve put together a same game parlay for the divisional showdown that pays out at +1674 odds, and you can check out our reasoning for each leg below.
Elijah Mitchell anytime touchdown scorer (+100)
Brandon Aiyuk over 60.5 receiving yards (-114)
DK Metcalf 1st Seattle team touchdown scorer (+350)
Parlay odds: +1674
Elijah Mitchell anytime touchdown scorer (+100)
With Samuel unavailable, Elijah Mitchell’s workload should increase in Seattle. The 49ers’ rookie running back enters the Week 13 matchup off his best performance of the year against the Vikings. Mitchell ran for 133 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries, while he added 35 yards on 5 catches, leading the team in receptions. Mitchell is tough to stop, powering through the stacked boxes the Vikings set against him, and is averaging 4.8 yards per carry this year. While Seattle’s run defense has improved recently, running backs have continued to do plenty of damage, scoring 12 touchdowns this season. No running back has had more redzone touches than Mitchell for the Niners and he looks a solid bet to score his fifth TD of the year.
Brandon Aiyuk over 60.5 receiving yards (-114)
Another member of the Niners offense who could benefit from Samuel’s absence is Brandon Aiyuk. The wideout easily covered his receiving yards prop in Week 12, finishing that game with 91 yards on 3 catches, and has now had over 80 yards in 3 of his last 4 games. Aiyuk will be elevated to No. 1 receiver for this game against a Seattle defense giving up the second-most passing yards in the NFL this season. The Seahawks are allowing an average of 161.8 yards per game to wide receivers, so take Aiyuk to have another big day.
DK Metcalf 1st Seattle team touchdown scorer (+350)
Given their history in Seattle, the Niners won’t have it all their own way and DK Metcalf could be the man to fire back at the visitors. The Seahawks offense is struggling to find any kind of rhythm since Wilson returned from his finger injury, failing to score more than 15 points in a game. Metcalf has been MIA in recent weeks, but a clash with the Niners usually brings the best out of the wide receiver. He has scored 4 touchdowns in their 5 games, including in the Week 4 win in San Francisco. He has 8 touchdowns on the year, which has gone largely unnoticed due to the generally poor state of Seattle’s game.
Metcalf was targeted only once against Washington, but that was partly due to Wilson having little time for plays to develop for much of the MNF game. He should be more heavily involved on Sunday and can expose a depleted 49ers’ secondary that found Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson a handful last week.
