Week 17 of the 2022 NFL season kicks off in Nashville as the Dallas Cowboys take on the Tennessee Titans. Things went from bad to worse over the weekend for the Titans, as they were knocked off the top spot of the AFC South and are now facing an uphill battle to reach the NFL playoffs after Ryan Tannehill was ruled out for the rest of the season. As for the Cowboys, they just knocked off division rival Philadelphia and have secured their place in the postseason. Will Dallas continue its march, or can Tennessee bounce back and keep their playoff hopes alive? Let’s dive into our Cowboys vs Titans Same Game Parlay.

Tennessee Titans +10.5 over Dallas Cowboys (-115)

Admittedly, this is a tough side to swallow, but hear me out. Yes, the Titans have lost each of their last 5 games, including to the lowly Texans last week. And yes, Tannehill is out for the season with Malik Willis showing very little. But all of that has sent this line a little out of control. The Titans still boast one of the best run games in the NFL behind Derrick Henry, and getting them as a double-digit underdog at home is too good to pass up. Even if Henry isn’t able to go, I still like Julius Chestnut to step up and keep the run game going. The Titans have only lost at home by more than 10 points once this season and with everything on the line here in primetime, I expect Mike Vrabel to light a fire under his team and for them to come out fighting here.

The Cowboys rank as one of the best teams against the pass and should have no problem shutting down Willis, who is still yet to top 100 passing yards in a game. But all Willis has to do is be serviceable and not turn the ball over. Dallas has had its struggles against the run, allowing the 11th-most yards per carry in the NFL, so expect Henry to take the brunt of the carries if he does suit up. Meanwhile, the Titans have allowed the 2nd-fewest yards per carry in the league and can frustrate the Cowboys’ offense. I completely expect Dallas to win, but Tennessee should be able to at least keep things respectable.

Over 41.5 (-104)

I also like the over for this game, especially when it comes to our SGP. I’ve already touched on Dallas’ problems against the run, and either Henry or Chestnut should be able to feast and power his way into the end zone. The Titans don’t need to have an incredible day on offense, as even a 27-17 loss still cashes our first and second legs, but as long as they can put in a solid performance then there’s a great chance that Tennessee does their bit.

As for the Cowboys, their offense has been firing lately and should continue to put points on the board. Dallas has scored at least 34 points in 3 of their last 4 games, and now gets to go up against a Tennessee team that has allowed the 4th-most passing touchdowns in the league. Dak Prescott looked terrific against the Eagles last week and the signal-caller should be in for another great day.

Under 7.5 1st quarter points (-122)

To give the odds of our SGP a nice boost, I’m adding the under in the 1st quarter. Cowboys games have had a lot of venom in recent weeks, but I can see this one starting out a little slower. For starters, I’ve highlighted the expectation that Tennessee leans on its run game. That in itself should keep the clock ticking and result in fewer possessions and plays, particularly in the 1st quarter. The Titans defense has also shown its strength to hold both the Chargers and Texans to under 19 points. While I do expect them to struggle a lot more against this talented Cowboys team, Tennessee should still have some success in the early going in keeping Dallas at bay.
