The Christmas Day NFL slate is wrapping up with Sunday Night Football between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Arizona Cardinals. It may not be the most intriguing matchup on the schedule with both teams playing well below their talent level in 2022, but you know you’ll be watching anyway since the weather outside is frightful. Why not spice up the proceedings with a Same Game Parlay?

Below is our SGP for Sunday Night Football, and also be sure to check out our full Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Arizona Cardinals picks on the side and total.

Under 39.5 points (-104)

Trace McSorley under 186.5 passing yards (-114)

James Conner to score a touchdown (+165)

Parlay odds: +942

Part of the value in Same Game Parlays, of course, is that all of its components can be correlated if you so choose. That is some of the plan here, as Trace McSorley being kept in check through the air would obviously work well with an under play. At the same time, plays that aren’t correlated drive up the overall payout of the parlay. That is the case with backing James Conner to score a touchdown, but even if he does there is no reason why the under can’t cash.

Under 39.5 points (-104)

Although 39.5 is not a big number, there is a good reason why that is the total. On one side of the ball, McSorley is making the first start of his career in primetime against a Tampa Bay defense that boasts plenty of talent despite the team’s disappointing overall record (6-8). Todd Bowles may be out of his league as a head coach, but he is undoubtedly a strong defensive mind. McSorley has inspired no kind of confidence in his limited NFL work, so it’s hard to think he will suddenly excel at the expense of this Bucs outfit. On the other side of the ball, Tampa Bay has been a complete train wreck from an offensive standpoint. Tom Brady looks like a shadow of his former self and he really isn’t getting any help from anyone. The Bucs have scored more than 23 points only once this year. Meanwhile, the Cards have posted 15 or fewer points in 3 of their last 4 outings. This has all the makings of an under.

Trace McSorley under 186.5 passing yards (-114)

Arizona is down to its 3rd-string quarterback, as Kyler Murray is done for the season (and some of next) with a torn ACL and now Colt McCoy is sidelined by a concussion. That means the offense is being run by McSorley, who is making his first NFL start. The former Penn State standout has attempted 39 passes in his pro career and in 3 appearances this year he is 15-of-29 for 166 yards with 0 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. As if that wasn’t recipe enough for a James Conner kind of game, Tampa Bay is #5 in the NFL against the pass. The Cardinals are going to be keeping the ball on the ground all day long.

James Conner to score a touchdown (+165)

There is no need to overthink this one. Conner has scored in 5 consecutive contests for the Cardinals, so when you can get him this far into plus money it’s an opportunity that must be taken. The University of Pittsburgh product has 6 touchdowns overall during this 5-game run, having found the end zone twice against the Los Angeles Rams. Whereas the Bucs’ defense ranks #5 in the NFL against the run, the unit is in the bottom half of the league against the run. Conner is going to be fed early and often on Sunday, so count on him delivering at least one present to both fantasy owners and bettors of this Same Game Parlay.
