The Los Angeles Chargers and Las Vegas Raiders will almost certainly be battling for a playoff spot in a win-and-you’re-in, lose-and-go-home situation on Sunday afternoon in Sin City. That will be the case if Indianapolis takes care of Jacksonville, and that is most definitely expected to happen with the Colts favored by 15 points. Let’s take a look at the best same game parlay option for Chargers vs Raiders, and also be sure to check out our full game preview for picks on the side and total.

Chargers -6.5 alternate spread (+140)

Justin Herbert to pass for 250+ yards (-240)

Jared Cook anytime touchdown scorer (+250)

Parlay odds: +918

Part of the value in same game parlays, of course, is that all of its components can be correlated if you so choose. That is the entire plan here, as Justin Herbert throwing for a fair amount of yards and Jared Cook finding the endzone would obviously work well with a Los Angeles win and cover. Let’s break down each of the three legs one by one.

Chargers -6.5 alternate spread (+140)

Both of these teams will obviously be going all out on Sunday Night Football in by far the biggest game of the season for each one. In the previous head-to-head matchup, Los Angeles took care of business at home via a 28-14 decision on October 4. The Chargers completely had their way on offense, as Herbert threw for 222 yards and 3 touchdowns without getting picked off and they racked up 168 yards on the ground. LA has remained a well-oiled machine offensively — its 5 most recent point totals are 41, 37, 28, 29, and 34. I just can’t see Las Vegas keeping up, especially with running back Josh Jacobs (ribs) questionable. Los Angeles is 6-2 against the spread in its last 8 against the AFC West and 5-1 ATS in its last 6 at the Raiders. Las Vegas is 2-5 ATS in its last 7 at home and 2-5 ATS in its last 7 against the AFC West. The Chargers can win this one by at least a touchdown.

Justin Herbert to pass for 250+ yards (-240)

The reason why Herbert passed for “only 222” yards in the previous meeting is that his team was already leading 21-0 by halftime. Los Angeles didn’t have to throw the ball in the second half. Although I’m anticipating another relatively comfortable win for the Bolts, I don’t see it being a complete blowout. In other words, Herbert will have to sling it around from start to finish. That is something the second-year star out of Oregon is comfortable doing; he has exceeded the 300-yard mark in 4 of the last 7 outings, with one exception being a 275-yard effort against the Giants in Week 14.

Jared Cook anytime touchdown scorer (+250)

Las Vegas is in the middle of the pack in passing defense, which means both Herbert and Cook should be productive. The Raiders are even worse when it comes specifically to defending tight ends; they are allowing the 28th-most fantasy points to that position. In the Chargers’ first win over the Raiders, Cook caught 6 of 7 targets for 70 yards and a touchdown. He also reached pay-dirt three weeks ago against the Giants.
