NFL Week 2 wraps up with a Battle of the Birds as the Atlanta Falcons make the trip to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles on Monday Night Football. It was a rough start for the Falcons, as they suffered a frustrating 18-10 loss to the Steelers last week, while the Eagles pulled out a wild 34-29 victory over the Packers in Brazil. Can Philly move to 2-0 or will Atlanta be able to get back on track? Let’s dive into our Falcons vs Eagles Same Game Parlay picks, while you can also find out our NFL predictions on the side and total for this matchup and every game throughout the 2024 NFL season!
Eagles ML (-240)
Jalen Hurts under 230.5 passing yards (-113)
Kyle Pitts to score a touchdown (+260)
Falcons vs Eagles Same Game Parlay odds: +913
For this Falcons vs Eagles Same Game Parlay, I’m combining some contradictory plays to bolster the odds. While an Eagles win and the under on Jalen Hurts’ passing yards might not seem correlated, I would expect the Philly signal-caller to be content running the ball while his team holds the lead. In addition, I don’t expect the Falcons to get shut out completely, so by adding in Kyle Pitts to find the end zone, we see a strong odds boost. Let’s break down each of the legs.

Philadelphia Eagles ML over Atlanta Falcons (-240)
Things looked bleak for Philadelphia following the first quarter of their game against the Packers, but after then putting up 34 points in 45 minutes, it’s fair to say that this Eagles team is still a powerhouse in the NFC. The addition of Saquon Barkley looks to have made their ground game even more potent, and between him and Hurts you have to expect their rushing attack to have even more emphasis. As for Atlanta, they had plenty of hype coming into the season but fell extremely flat in their defeat to Pittsburgh. Kirk Cousins looked out of sorts and it will be interesting to see how he responds, especially in the hostile confines of Lincoln Financial Field and a primetime matchup. There is simply too much going against the Falcons right now to have faith in them in this tough road game, so I’m taking Philly to move to 2-0 to kickstart our Falcons vs Eagles Same Game Parlay.

Jalen Hurts under 230.5 passing yards (-113)
While I expect the Eagles to get the victory, I don’t believe it will require Hurts doing too much through the air. As mentioned, they have a tremendous running back with Barkley now, who ran the ball 24 times for 109 yards and 2 touchdowns last week. Hurts ran it himself 13 times for 33 yards. Clearly Nick Sirianni is content to keep this a run-first offense, and if they can get out to a hot start against the Falcons then I expect them to focus on keeping the football and winding the clock. Hurts went under this number in 6 of his last 9 games of the 2023 season (not including the Week 18 game where he sat early) and it wouldn’t surprise me to see the same happen here. Atlanta held Justin Fields to just 156 passing yards last week and allowed the 7th-fewest passing yards in the NFL last season, so even if Hurts does look to air it out, there’s no guarantee he’ll have success doing so either.

Kyle Pitts to score a touchdown (+260)
To hopefully bring home our Falcons vs Eagles Same Game Parlay, I’m taking Pitts to find the end zone. After plenty of hype when taken #4 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft, it’s fair to say that Pitts has underwhelmed thus far. However, I’m expecting that to change this season. Pitts did find the end zone in last week’s defeat to Pittsburgh, and that could be a sign of things to come now that Cousins is under center. Cousins has always been reliant on his tight ends to make a play, whether it was Jordan Reed while he was in Washington or Kyle Rudolph, Irv Smith and TJ Hockenson in Minnesota. New Falcons offensive coordinator Zac Robinson experienced a lot of tight end usage during his time with the Rams and at +260 odds I believe there’s plenty of value with Pitts to find the end zone to round out our Falcons vs Eagles Same Game Parlay.
