Week 13 was another eventful weekend of games across the NFL, and this week has been no different. To close out Week 14, we are getting back on the Same Game Parlay train, this time for a battle between the New England Patriots vs Arizona Cardinals on Monday Night Football. With kickoff set for 8:15 pm ET on ESPN, it’s time to forecast the action.

New England Patriots -1 (-110)
Bill Belichick with a few extra days to prepare should hold a huge edge over Kliff Kingsbury. While the Patriots have struggled against mobile QBs historically, I expect New England to apply plenty of pressure on Kyler Murray. Murray is one of the worst quarterbacks in football this season when pressure is applied, and he traditionally takes pressure since he holds onto the ball a lot. On the other side, I expect Mac Jones and the New England offense to see success in a dome environment. This matchup is one that is very favorable for the Patriots, as they have their great running game to rely on against a Cardinals run defense that ranks 26th in success rate and dead last in explosive runs allowed. Back New England to pick up this road victory.

Kyler Murray anytime touchdown scorer (+290)
As previously mentioned, the Patriots have struggled to slow down mobile, dual-threat quarterbacks this season. Earlier in the year Lamar Jackson had a field day against New England, and the Patriots also allowed big chunk runs to the likes of Justin Fields and Josh Allen this season. Historically, an effective running quarterback has been the kryptonite for Belichick’s defense. With that in mind, I like Murray’s ability to scramble and break contain in a game where the Cardinals could struggle to throw the ball. He is at his best when the play breaks down and he can create off-script. I expect there to be opportunities for that in this contest, especially when the Cardinals are in the red zone.
