Welcome to the first-ever NFL Black Friday game, Pickswise Nation! We hope you all had a great Thanksgiving Day and looking forward to EVER MORE football.
We have an interesting AFC East matchup between the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets. The Dolphins are beginning to pick up steam again in their push to win a first division title in 15 years, while the Jets have made the switch to Tim Boyle at quarterback in hopes of getting their season back on track. To add some extra excitement to the game, I have put together a Dolphins vs Jets Same Game Parlay that pays at +927 odds with FanDuel Sportsbook! I cashed my TNF Bengals vs Ravens Same Game Parlay last week at +982 odds, so let’s hit another one.

Dolphins -13.5 alternate spread (+142)
Under 41.5 (-125)
Under 7.5 1st quarter points (-134)
Raheem Mostert to score a touchdown (-140)
Same Game Parlay odds: +927 with FanDuel Sportsbook
With this Same Game Parlay, we’re going with the Dolphins to pick up the victory in a low-scoring game. I feel pretty good about getting nearly 10/1 odds with FanDuel on this, given that the Jets’ offense is expected to continue their struggles. If the Dolphins can do the bulk of the scoring with lead running back Raheem Mostert finding the end zone, then we should be onto a winner. Let’s break down each leg.
Miami Dolphins -13.5 alternate spread over New York Jets (+142)
I know this is a road divisional game for Miami, but it’s hard not to like the Dolphins to pick up a road win against the Jets. This Dolphins offense has been a juggernaut this season, able to utilize their array of stud receiving options along with a dominant run game headed by Raheem Mostert. They do have their work cut out for them against this Jets defense, but that group can only do so much and has allowed at least 27 points in 2 of their last 3 games as a result of their offense’s problems. I’m expecting more issues with New York’s offense, and the Dolphins should be motivated to win big to put the pressure on the Bills this week in the race for the AFC East. 4 of Miami’s last 5 victories have been by at least 2 touchdowns and I’m expecting another one here.

Under 41.5 (-125)
Next up in our Dolphins vs Jets Same Game Parlay, we’re taking the under. This is likely to be one of the lowest totals of the season for a Miami game, but it still doesn’t feel low enough. Again, the Dolphins have been scoring in bunches but now come against a Jets defense that is among the best in the league and if anyone can stop Tyreek Hill, then Sauce Gardner could. Further, their pass-rush remains one of the most dominant units in the league and could have Tua Tagovailoa running for his life on more than one occasion. On the flip side, the Jets have scored just 2 touchdowns in their last 4 games and their offense is as anemic as it gets. The switch to Tim Boyle doesn’t inspire me with confidence either, since Boyle has struggled across almost every start he’s had in the NFL and has a beaten-up offensive line in front of him. All signs point to a low-scoring game.

Under 7.5 1st quarter points (-134)
A lot of the points raised above are why I also like taking the under in the 1st quarter. I can certainly see Miami finding the end zone in that period, but asking them to put points on the board twice early in the game feels a lot to ask to me. Of course, part of this would depend on the Jets not going 3 and out on their first couple of possessions, as that would give the Dolphins more opportunities, but I’ve got faith that the Jets defense can hold its own at least in the early going. The Jets gave the Bills an instant red-zone opportunity right at the start of their game last Sunday, and still held Buffalo to just 6 points in the 1st quarter. Meanwhile, I’m not expecting New York to score points early in the game.
Raheem Mostert to score a touchdown (-140)
To wrap up this Same Game Parlay, I’m picking Raheem Mostert to score the touchdown. With us already taking Miami to win by 2 scores, they’re certainly going to need to score touchdowns, and Mostert looks the best option. The running back already has 13 touchdowns in just 10 games this season and 5 in his last 6 games. With De’Von Achane limited in practice this week, Mostert can be expected to carry the load and should be able to break through this rigid Jets defense and into the end zone.
