We close Wild Card Weekend on Monday night with the Minnesota Vikings taking on the Los Angeles Rams at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Due to the wildfires sweeping from the LA area, the NFL has moved the matchup away from SoFi Stadium to the home of the Arizona Cardinals. The Vikings are coming off an embarrassing loss to the Detroit Lions on Sunday Night Football, which closed out their regular season in unceremonious fashion and cost them the NFC North title and a first-round bye. The Rams won the regular-season matchup over the Vikings 30-20 in Week 8.

Let’s dive into my best Vikings vs Rams player prop bet for Monday’s game, while you can find out our Vikings vs Rams predictions for tonight as well as our NFL picks on the side and total for EVERY Wild Card game this weekend and throughout the playoffs.

TJ Hockenson (MIN) Over 41.5 receiving yards (-114)

Odds available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing.

Hockenson saw 8 targets last week against the Lions, which was his second-highest mark of the season and second highest on the team behind only Justin Jefferson. The Rams are allowing the 3rd-most targets and 2nd-most receptions to opposing tight ends this year, so this is an ideal matchup for Hockenson. While the L.A. defense will be doing everything possible schematically to prevent Jefferson from taking over the game, Hockenson should reap the benefits in the middle of the field. Los Angeles features one of the youngest defenses in the league and that has resulted in lapses throughout the season for explosive plays due to missed assignments and tackles. Trey McBride, Tucker Kraft, Brock Bowers, Hunter Henry and Noah Fant enjoyed some of their best games this season against this Rams defense. And at 41.5, we’re getting a very beatable number for Hockenson. 1u.
