NFL Week 6 is here and we’re getting into the heart of the season. We’ve got another early start with the Jaguars taking on the Bears in London, and our experts have a best bet from that matchup! There was plenty of chaos in the NFL last week as the Vikings beat the Jets in the English capital, which led to New York firing head coach Robert Saleh. What will Week 6 have in store for us? Let’s dive into our Pickswise experts’ 3-star NFL best bets for this Sunday’s games, while you can also find out our NFL picks on the side and total for EVERY matchup this season.

NFL Week 6 best bet: Chicago Bears -1.5 over Jacksonville Jaguars (-110)

Odds available at Caesars Sportsbook at time of publishing. Playable to -2.5.

We’re back in London for the second straight week and it features the Jaguars and Bears this time. In Week 5, the Vikings remained undefeated by beating Aaron Rodgers and the Jets, which turned out to be the final straw in Robert Saleh’s tenure as the Jets head coach. This time around, the British will get a glimpse at #1 pick Caleb Williams and the Bears against former #1 pick Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars. It was a rough start to Williams’ professional career as the highly touted quarterback struggled in the first few weeks, but he’s led the Bears to back-to-back wins which has restored the faith of Chicago fans. Williams looks more comfortable in the pocket and has thrown 3 touchdowns during Chicago’s 2-game win streak. It’s even more impressive that the Bears have strung together a few wins since their running game has been atrocious. However, the surge of Roschon Johnson in the backfield could be exactly what the Bears need.

The Jaguars finally got their first win of the season last week against the Colts. Trevor Lawrence and the Jags had lost their first 4 games of the season and there were plenty of problems on offense. Lawrence was having accuracy issues, Travis Etienne Jr. was rushing for 1 yard per attempt, Gabe Davis was completely ineffective and Evan Engram was dealing with injuries. Fortunately for the Jags, they faced the Colts at a lucky time since Anthony Richardson and Jonathan Taylor weren’t able to play. I expected the Jags to be able to roll over Indianapolis with their 2 offensive weapons out, but Jacksonville only won by a field goal after allowing 24 points in the 4th quarter alone. I’m extremely low on the Jags right now, so I’ll take the Bears in London.

NFL Week 6 best bet: Baltimore Ravens -6.5 over Washington Commanders (-110)

Odds available at Bet365 at time of publishing. Playable at that number.

The Washington Commanders will have to travel about a half-hour north to take on the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium, and I expect a big win for the hosts. After starting the season 0-2, Lamar Jackson and the Ravens have rattled off 3 straight wins, taking down the Cowboys, Bills and Bengals. The offense has been playing well all season, most recently putting up 41 points in Cincinnati, 27 of which came after halftime, and I anticipate another big week against a Commanders defense allowing 23.0 ppg (20th in the NFL). RB Derrick Henry has looked like his former self in their 3 wins, as he’s recorded 442 rushing yards in that span and can feast on Washington, which gives up 130.0 rushing yards per contest (22nd in the NFL).

Jayden Daniels is the frontrunner for NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, but the talented QB hasn’t faced many experienced defenses outside the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who dealt Washington their lone loss. Although they’ve been lighting it up the past 3 weeks (38.0 ppg), those games were against the Bengals, Cardinals and Browns, who rank 31st, 27th and 24th in points allowed per contest. Additionally, the Commanders have done a lot of damage on the ground, as they average 178.4 rushing yards per contest (2nd in the NFL), but Baltimore is giving up just 60.4 yards per game on the ground (1st in the NFL).

The Ravens failed to cover as 8.5-point favorites against the Raiders earlier this year, but they also lost that contest. In Lamar Jackson and the Ravens’ last 10 home victories, they have won by an average of 17.8 points. When Baltimore wins at home, they typically win big, which I expect them to do against the Commanders.

NFL Week 6 best bet: Cincinnati Bengals vs New York Giants Over 48 (-110)

Odds available at BetMGM at time of publishing. Playable to -2.5.

The idea that the Giants could host a high-scoring game at the Meadowlands is not something we’re used to considering. Then again, everyone’s scoring points on Cincinnati lately. It’s been 5 weeks since a Bengals game fell below 51 points (Week 1 loss against New England). Their last 4 totals have seen 51, 71, 58 and 79 points scored. We mention this because Lou Anarumo and his formerly lauded defense seems to be beyond correction. In fact, it’s only getting worse. Their last 3 opponents all eclipsed 350 total yards — even the hapless Panthers — and that included a 520 burger from Baltimore last week at “the jungle.” Cincinnati cannot get a pass rush (3.75%, 31st), and they have some of the worst marks on 3rd down, 4th down and in the red zone. This is not a defense we can trust at this point.

Meanwhile, Joe Burrow continues to do his thing. Every aspect of Cincinnati’s passing game owns a top-10 mark, and Burrow tops the list of all NFL QBs in several categories. New York’s pressure might challenge Burrow in some spots, but he’ll still get his. On the other side, the Giants’ offense looks better than it has in years, and this week it looks like they’ll get back rookie sensation Malik Nabers. The star wideout never suited up last week due to a concussion, but in just 4 games he still tops all pass-catches with 35 receptions. Still, even without Nabers, New York stacked up 420 yards and 29 points on a battle-tested Seahawks’ defense on the road. We project that both of these programs should be able to hit 24+ points with ease, which makes us look in only one direction at this total.
