The 2023 NFL season is officially in full swing with Week 1 now in the rearview mirror. There’s a lot of excitement in the air for Week 2 and beyond, and what better way to celebrate than by betting a Same Game Parlay?
This is a classic rivalry matchup between the Ravens and Bengals, and I have cooked up an SGP for the occasion:
Here we go!
Baltimore Ravens -6.5 alternate spread (+350)
Lamar Jackson to throw for 250+ yards (+240)
Parlay odds: +1658

Baltimore Ravens -6.5 (+350) over Cincinnati Bengals
To say the Bengals looked unimpressive in their opener would be a massive understatement, and I don’t think that was a fluke. Perhaps Joe Burrow still wasn’t fully recovered from an offseason calf injury, but whatever the case, it was ugly. Cincy mustered only 3 points against the Browns, and they stood no chance against Cleveland’s pass-rush. The Ravens know how to get after the quarterback as well, so I’d expect Burrow to be running (or hobbling) for his life again on Sunday.
The Ravens picked up some tough injuries in Week 1, but there’s no reason to panic. They were playing their first game in a new offensive system and still easily cruised past the Texans. Baltimore held CJ Stroud to just 5.5 yards per pass attempt while sacking him 5 times for a loss of 46 yards. They also held Houston’s ground game to just 3.1 yards per rush attempt, so I wouldn’t expect Joe Mixon to have much success here either.
I’m fading the Bengals’ offense this season, and we’ve often seen Zac Taylor struggle to gameplan early in the year. Expect those early season struggles to continue here.

Lamar Jackson to throw for 250+ yards (+240)
I think this correlates nicely with the first leg of our same game parlay, because if the Ravens are covering a -6.5 alt spread, it’s likely going to be because their passing game stepped up. With JK Dobbins now done for the year with an unfortunate Achilles injury, Jackson is going to need to throw the ball more. He only had 169 yards last week, but that’s only because he had just 22 attempts as his defense was dominating against a rookie quarterback and they didn’t feel the need to be aggressive.
Now going up against Joe Burrow and a Bengals offense which has a high ceiling, the Ravens will open it up a lot more and let Jackson sling it around. Last week was also Jackson’s first with his new OC, so he should look a lot more comfortable here now with a full game of reps under his belt. The Ravens invested heavily in their pass-catchers this offseason, and rookie first-round pick Zay Flowers certainly looked the part last Sunday as he racked up 9 catches in his pro debut. With opposing defenses paying a lot of attention to Odell Beckham on the perimeter, Flowers should continue to thrive here.
