NFL Week 6 New York Jets vs Green Bay Packers prediction
This game could be decided by the young talent on both rosters. For Green Bay, the Packers are still working in their young wide receivers, and have experienced growing pains as a result. On the other side, the Jets are seeing success with their core of young wideouts, while New York’s secondary has been bolstered by rookie Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner. If the Packers continue to struggle on offense, this one could get interesting down the stretch.

New York Jets vs Green Bay Packers expert picks
We’ve got 2 standout NFL picks for this week’s clash between the Jets and Packers.
Packers vs Jets point spread pick: Packers -7 (-110)
Might there be light at the end of the tunnel for the New York Jets after all? It might be a bit presumptuous to declare their rebuild over, but the Jets have surprised everybody with their 3-2 start. Unfortunately for Zach Wilson fans, I think the magic runs out here. When you dig into New York’s record, it becomes a lot less impressive. Their most recent win came against the Dolphins in a game that saw Miami forced to play their third-string rookie quarterback. Right before that they beat the Steelers in a game where Mitch Trubisky was so bad he got benched for Kenny Pickett. Their third and final win was against the Browns where Joe Flacco pulled off one of the most incredible upsets in NFL history after the Jets trailed by 13 points with less than 2 minutes left.
Going on the road to Lambeau and pulling off a win with Wilson under center is going to be a lot harder than beating Skylar Thompson was last week. Green Bay should be fired up coming off their embarrassing collapse in the London game against the Giants, and this is a better matchup for them. The Giants play a ton of man defense, which isn’t good for the Packers’ new receiving corps that doesn’t feature many guys who can win one on one. This is a classic buy-low and sell-high spot, and now is the rare chance for us to fade some Jets hype.

Packers vs Jets Over/Under totals pick: Under 45 (-110)
I’m not particularly high on either of these offenses, so I’m going with the under. Zach Wilson has certainly looked better than he did in his rookie season, but that’s not saying much. And going on the road to Lambeau is easily going to be his toughest test of the season. There’s also a lot of familiarity between these coaching staffs, which tends to lend itself well to unders. Robert Saleh and Matt LaFleur used to coach together and were roommates back in the day, and LaFleur’s little brother Mike is Saleh’s offensive coordinator.
The Packers play at an extremely slow pace and can’t get anything going down the field right now. There’s just no vertical threat on this team, as Allen Lazard clearly isn’t that guy. In Green Bay’s loss to the Giants last week, their passing game was almost exclusively limited to quick stuff. The ceiling is low, and I don’t see the Jets scoring much at all.
