New York Jets 2022 season recap
With just 7 wins in 17 games, it wasn’t the best season for the Jets. However, there were a lot of positives to take away. Sauce Gardner solidified himself as one of the best cornerbacks in football and Garrett Wilson showed flashes of brilliance. Make no mistake, the Jets have a young core that wasn’t able to gel last season, but that shouldn’t be the case going forward. New York is on the rise.

New York Jets 2023 NFL season predictions
Two words: Aaron Rodgers. After many years in the cold tundra of Green Bay, Rodgers has moved to the Big Apple to bring some experience to a very young Jets offense. Rodgers also brought along Randall Cobb to create a very balanced wide receiving corps, so the oddsmakers have listed the Jets with the 2nd-best odds to win the division. Can Rodgers bring success to the Jets in his first season in New York?
Here are a couple of my New York Jets-related predictions for the upcoming season.
Best bet: New York Jets Over 9.5 wins (-115)
Maybe I’m too optimistic, but I believe that Aaron Rodgers can fit in well with this offense. New York had the weapons to be successful last season, but they lacked a competent quarterback that could get them to where they wanted to be. Rodgers is not a minor step up – he’s a huge one. He’s one of the best quarterbacks in the last few decades and seems to be fully healthy after dealing with a thumb injury that clearly bothered him last season. And on defense, the Jets have an above average unit. They bolstered their defensive line and have Sauce to lead the cornerback group, so I think if they put the pieces together, it could be a very successful first season in New York for Rodgers.
New York Jets season record prediction: 10-7
Do I think the Jets could reach 11-6 if they win key games? Yes. Do I think they have one of the hardest starts to the season in the league? Bigger yes. In New York’s first 4 weeks it has to face the Bills, Cowboys, Patriots and Chiefs. And after that, the Jets have to go to Denver to play the new-and-improved Broncos before playing the reigning NFC champion Eagles to get to their bye in Week 7. If New York can manage a 3-3 record after those 6 games, it has a great chance to win 10 games. The back half of their schedule gets much easier (Texans, Commanders, Falcons), which should allow them to end the season with some momentum. All of that relies on New York’s offense clicking quickly, but I’m optimistic and taking the over on the win total.
