The NCAA Tournament’s second round will wrap up on Sunday. By the end of it, only 16 teams will remain. That’s right; Sweet 16 berths are being handed out. The stakes are huge on the court, and it’s worth playing for the same in the betting department. Let’s take a look at our mega parlay for Sunday.

Iowa State ML (+175)

Auburn -7.5 (-110)

Texas Tech -9.5 alternate spread (+110)

Parlay odds: +1002

For this parlay we are going with two favorites against the spread – one on an alternate number – and one underdog straight up.

Iowa State ML over Wisconsin (+175)

Iowa State is coming off a 59-54 victory over LSU. The Cyclones showed off their stellar defense in that game by holding the Tigers to just 21.1 percent shooting from 3-point range. ISU’s defense should come to play again in this contest against Wisconsin. The Badgers are not exactly an offensive juggernaut and they don’t have much depth – they are top heavy with Johnny Davis, who scored 25 of Wisconsin’s 67 points in the first round against Colgate. It was a far from dominant performance for Wisconsin, even though they prevailed 67-60. Don’t be surprised if Iowa State pulls off the upset.

Auburn -7.5 over Miami (-110)

The Hurricanes won their first NCAA Tournament game in 6 years when they defeated USC on Friday. A second one may not be forthcoming. First of all, Miami was 1-for-14 from beyond the arc. Second of all, Auburn is a very tough opponent. Auburn started off very slowly against Jacksonville State, but starting around the 4-minute mark of the first half it just completely overwhelmed the Gamecocks and went on an 18-0 run that extended into the second half. The Tigers dominated the painted area, out-rebounding the ‘Cocks by a 50 to 32 margin. Walker Kessler was a human eraser, finishing with 9 blocked shots. The Tigers’ defense held the Jacksonville State to 31 percent shooting from the field, while at the other end of the floor Jabari Smith led the way with 20 points and 14 rebounds. Go with Auburn to win and cover.

Texas Tech -9.5 alternate spread over Notre Dame (+110)

Both of these teams cruised to a win in the opening round, Notre Dame beating Alabama by 14 and Texas Tech destroying Montana State by 35. The Fighting Irish will be playing their third game of the tournament, seeing that they were in the play-in round. Texas Tech looked about as good as it could. The Red Raiders are ranked 43rd in adjusted offensive efficiency per KenPom, while Notre Dame ranks 28th in the same category. The bigger edge for Texas Tech is on defense; it ranks 1st in adjusted defensive efficiency and Notre Dame is 78th. What the Red Raiders lack in offense, they can make up for with a defense should be able to keep Notre Dame at bay. Expect TT to win by double-digits.
